Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had a lovely evening, staff were great. Atmisphere, friendly , we will definitley go back next time we are in Grasmere. Husband enjoyed the black pudding starter, and we both had chicken mains. I was a bit disappointed , felt it was a bit dry , had ecpected it would have more sauce. I was given a pot of peppercorn sauce which sorted me out. All in all, had a nice evening , will return and try some different meals.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe thoroughly enjoyed every part of our experience at Lewis’s Bistro The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing!!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe keep coming back to Lewis Bistro due to the excellent food, service and atmosphere with value for money all set in a beautiful village. Make sure you book in advance as the bistro is very popular. Thank you again and we will see you soon. Adam & Linda
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereA truly authentic and original pub experience in a beautiful Lakeland location with easy parking. Delicious food, loved the home made horse radish. Service was great however it was clear they were understaffed on the day. I would definitely recommend The Farmers Arms.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonExcellent steak pie. Loved every bite. Ordering and service takes a bit to get used to, but the folks are wonderful and pleasant to deal with.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickStayed overnight and had evening meal in restaurant. The meal and service was first class, highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again in the future.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWhat a fantastic place this is ...if your ever in Grasmere this is a must ...we always book early and really look forward to the night.. the food is amazing...staff are great ...we were in for a birthday celebration and they went the extra mile to make it special...see you soon.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereI was really encouraged to see a nice menu offering with a variety of options. Our orders were taken and we were advised that there were 2 big tables in so there would be a small wait for our meals (there were 4 of us). Our food arrived 1hr 15 mins after we sat at our table and one of the meals was missing which then took a further 15-20 mins before it arrived which was a real shame as the rest of us had all finished. What we did have was absolutely delicious and very hot. I dont think you should be charged for extra gravy especially when the wait was so long and a meal was missed. There was no offer of any goodwill gesture, taking the meal off the bill, drinks etc. al the staff were nice but in these circumstances more should have been done to compensate.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithStaying in Grasmere for a short break, we first visited the Bistro on Saturday night and enjoyed the experience so much that we returned on the next available occasion, Tuesday. Friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere and great service. Food was first rate too. Would happily return if we are in the area again
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent food and service. Booked for dinner while staying in Keswick. At the end of the evening booked again for dinner another night. Recommend.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent all round. Good food, great staff and lovely atmosphere. The black pudding stack was incredible, and perfect cheese board. Chicken wasn't quite perfect but nearly there, would definitely go back when in the area.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereCalled in for a drink and looked at the menu etc Booked a table for three days later for early evening meal The food was superb, the staff very friendly and service very good Will certainly go back and have no hesitation in recommending the The Pheasant for food and/or drinks
Pheasant Inn – KeswickYesterday meal of Fillet Steak was very mediocre, Tonight's meal of the same was just soo different and all round delish, the potato gratin was beautifully presented unlike yesterday that was a heap of potato slices just thrown down on the plate, different Chef's?
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery good dinner but we found the menu very limited for fish lovers and vegetarians. The cooked breakfast was disappointing and the smoked salmon was inedible. Good selection for continental breakfast. We were only given a small jug of coffee for two people and both days had to ask for more. There were no serving utensils for croissants and toast. Really not what we expected from a four star hotel.
Rothay Garden Hotel – GrasmereVery good food and service.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereOur walking groups summer outing meal. Enjoyed by all everything first class thank you
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalFour of us had a lovely meal. Great tasting and a good variety of dishes. Accompanying vegetables well cooked and a nice choice. Easy to book a dog friendly table in the bar. Great atmosphere, it was busy , but staff were timely and in their serving and got all of our orders correct. We’ll return again
