The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe gentleman who served us was very pleasant but out of his depth. The waitress never smiled.. An essential if you are working in the restaurant business.. If you are serving 7 people with food surely at least two people could carry out plates at the same time to stop the first dishes arriving beginning to get cold. Gravy with Cumberland fairly ordinary. Much tastier at other pubs I have been to.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalStill got it.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe holiday in Keswick every year and always make the Pheasant Inn the place for our meal on the final night, knowing that we won't be disappointed. The food is always high quality and reasonably priced and the service is good. We had steak pie and Scottish salmon, which were excellent quality. The food was served timely, and the table service was attentive - in some bars/restaurants you can struggle to get attention, but at the Pheasant Inn the attentive staff made sure our glasses were never empty! The online booking system is an added bonus. I would suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment as the Pheasant Inn is very popular.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFantastic food, friendly staff, would highly recommend
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had a lovely meal at Lewis's, the food was superb and the steak was cooked to perfection. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were surprised with complimentary glasses of fizz, which was a lovely touch. The staff were great and it's very relaxed and cosy. We will definitely return.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFirst time we've had a Sunday roast at The Pheasant and it's definitely where we will go in the future as the food and service were first class
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSuperb food. Lovely warm welcome & great service. Can absolutely recommend
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWhat we loved about The Pheasant was the excellent variety on the dinner menu. Dishes on our visit included venison, pheasant, red snapper, trout & a particularly tasty fish pie. It made you want to return to try something different.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFantastic meal. Great friendly staff.. Dog friendly for our greyhound. Food cooked fresh and delicious
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleAbsolutely lovely meal. Great Service.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeDelicious
Farmers Arms – UlverstonWonderful meal. Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is very relaxed. Only downside was a dog, think it was a cockerpoo with its owners on the table next to us. Not very well behaved, jumping at the table and getting in the way of other customers, shaking and staring at my wife and I when eating. As I say only downside but you cannot account for some dog owners!!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe meal was excellent. Veg were perfectly cooked as was the Steak and Ale pie. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The entire hotel is highly recommended for food, service and accommodation.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWe had a delicious dinner at The Pheasant Inn, hot food succulently cooked with lots of fresh cooked veges. A great atmosphere for enjoying good food and wine. Throughly recommend this pub restaurant it’s much much better than most.
