Food was amazing. All of the staff were lovely, very welcoming and polite. We will be going back in 2 weeks for my daughters birthday. Thank you all for a lovely meal for my husbands birthday.

Whilst the food is always good, big problem with bookings - I had a five minute conversation with one of the staff on our previous visit on Sunday, and requested a specific table for a return visit this evening. The member of staff filled this in on the iPad reservation in front of me, so I know it was done. We arrived this evening to find that our table had been given to someone else!! I had requested a table to suit my needs, but this had been totally disregarded. Can I just comment at a time where we are all considering our mental well-being, that not every issue is visible.

Delicious fresh food served in a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere from people who care. What’s not to love.

Always good honest food at The Pheasant . Staff are always friendly, attentive and pleasant to chat with. Will be going back soon

The food was very enjoyable, the service was good and the atmosphere was lively considering the time of our sitting. However, the peas served with our meal had clearly not been cooked as they were fridge cold. The staff member we reported it to apologised and said she would pass it on. I didn't think this was a satisfactory response so mentioned it to the staff member who I was paying my bill to and a more acceptable resolution was offered by a reduction to the bill. During the meal, we were not asked if everything was ok. This will not stop us from another visit to The Pheasant.

Delicious dinner with 4 friends. Staff were friendly and service was good. Menu is fairly standard but quality of food was good. Enjoyed our meal.

Unfortunately not as good as our springtime visit. The main man behind the bar was missing, don't know whether he's left, but he was an extremely good host. I'd ordered the ham Sunday roast but the meat was dry. I was given another piece when I complained which was tender and tasty. We tried to order desserts by attracting the staff but the menu wasn't forthcoming. A gentleman from another table also asked on our behalf. Eventually we ordered and the steam pudding and custard was good. I'd recommended the place last time to friends but I probably won't this time.

Lovely Sunday roast

Lovely food and friendly staff, but very, very rushed. We were in the restaurant for less than an hour (just had 2 courses). They wanted us to order within 2 minutes of sitting down, had to ask if we could order a drink first, and even then the waitress was back at our table in less than 5 minutes for our food order. As I said, food was nice and staff friendly enough, just made us feel rushed and I have to say, unwelcome. Will try elsewhere next time.

Wonderful food & fabulous service

Had a scrummy meal on Saturday. There were 5 of us in the party and we all had something different. I had the Venison , it was so tender. Fab service, lovely wine and delicious food. Definitely go back again.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch, plenty of meat and well cooked vegetables, although it was very busy the staff were welcoming, and the food served quickly and on hot plates.

Our group had meals Friday Saturday and Sunday at this lovely pub and each night and food was excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Great service - lovely food, boiling hot and well cooked. Staff were friendly if a little overworked as they said they were short staffed. Still didn’t stop good service and prompt attention. Meals were good value and plenty to eat.

Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere,would highly recommend,will be back again soon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
