We come here time and time again and are never disappointed. The food is consistently good and great value for money. We did notice this time that they were a little short staffed, they just did not stop but that’s an issue everywhere at the moment and does not distract from the excellent food. We will be back again.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeI’m still at Augill castle checked in yesterday and checking tomorrow the moment we drove up the drive and the castle came into view it took my breath away it was like something in a fairy tale my wife who was the car with me didn’t know where we were going and became very emotional, once inside it just kept getting better we are In room Brakenbar and it is stunning and our wardrobe is a turret our hosts are very professional and nothing is too much trouble afternoon tea was delicious, the staff are friendly and we will return

An added bonus is its proximity to the station. The quality of the food, drink and service is impeccable. And if you have time the dessert menu is fabulous, especially the chocolate cake!
