Delicious food beautifully presented and served with much charm and professionalism in a delightful setting. Everything a restaurant should be! If you are staying in Grasmere it is definitely the place to eat.

I can honestly say not once have we had a bad experience. The food is absolutely fantastic. The staff are always so friendly and polite. The ambiance is very good. 5 star rating. One or two very minor tweaks could have further elevated the overall quality of my main course, the sirloin steak, to another level. The quality of the steak was excellent and it was cooked precisely as requested. However, the meal deserved better than 'skinny fries' that are more appropriate to a fast food joint. In addition, what seemed to be frozen garden peas probably weren't actually needed, and again are not really appropriate to this kind of restaurant. These seemed like rather lazy options but didn't detract from an otherwise enjoyable meal.
