We had an absolutely sublime stay. The castle is stunning, the rooms gorgeous and the food to die for. Nothing is 'overdone'. The castle has not been renovated to within an inch of its life and wears its age with grace and charm. The food is accomplished but not overly complicated and absolutely delicious. Breakfast was equally as good as dinner. We didn't try the afternoon tea but that looked amazing too. We would highly recommend this restaurant and, if you can mange it, an overnight stay to round off the experience. One final word about the staff... the friendliest we've ever encountered in years of travel in the UK.

We booked afternoon tea for my daughters birthday yesterday. The ordering process was easy and we collected the food without any issues. The food was lovely and there was plenty to eat. The cakes were amazing and a great selection. The savoury selection was very nice but were either croissants or brioche buns. I think I would have preferred a mixture of brioche buns and sandwiches, but that’s just personal choice. All in all, it was a a lovely selection of food and we all enjoyed it

Food was superb and filling, cannot fault the staff , they all were very helpful and attentive, felt safe the whole time there.

Had drinks and cakes. Drinks came and 3 times we had to go up to counter and ask for cakes, napkins, cutlery. We had finished the drinks before they arrived !! Everything was nice once we got it ..

We visited on 30 th December,after booking online, we were greeted on arrival by very pleasant staff, the food was delicious as always and the service exceptional , covid rules followed to the letter , we will be back as soon as allowed .

We went for afternoon tea was amazing ,really good value, the staff was very friendly , looking forward to going back soon when we can .

Food was lovely. Staff very helpful and polite. Wasn’t too happy about how close we were to other diners when sat at the table .

Great atmosphere, the staff couldn't do enough for us & the food & drink was spot on. All this whilst meeting all the rules of our tier.

Lovely food once we finally got it! The service on my last 2 visits has been poor. You get promptly greeted and shown to our seat but then you seem to get forgotten about!

Love everything about La Mezzaluna,the surroundings,the atmosphere,the incredible food and the lovely friendly staff. My favourite by far.

Fantastic lunch at the bakehouse over Xmas, my 85 yr old mum hasn't been out since lockdown but she said she felt very safe and comfortable , the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing.definately worth a visit if you haven't been already X

Easy to book via the web site. Felt safe with the social distancing that is in place. Had to wait a while for the food to be served, but the Bakehouse was very busy. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food & drinks were very good, and also good value for the price.

Long wait,waited an hour for a sandwich,bread felt as though it had been stood under heat and salad was limp. Wait must of been on portion of chip's. Service from waitress was good and she apologized for the wait.

Absolutely gorgeous meal served in beautiful surroundings, social distancing adhered too in every respect.
