Fabulous menu - we had the sea bass and the beef cheek. Both were delicious and would eat the same again and again ! Starters were also excellent. Will be back :)

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleMy partner and I had a delicious meal at the restaurant on Saturday (May 2021). We are new to the local area and it was great to find somewhere so close by for special occasions. There was a great atmosphere, staff were very welcoming and the building looked stunning (we picked a nice sunny night). Good variety on the menu, (we have allergies and vegetarian requirements so not always a given) and we were both very pleased with our choices - and at the same time, jealous of each others! The Green Tea dessert with sorbet was amazing. Staff especially doing a great job. Will certainly be recommending and returning.

The menu is short because the chef clearly cares about quality over quantity but I believe there are changes every day. The restaurant is a beautiful room in a stunning castle and we felt totally relaxed as soon as we walked in. The staff were very friendly and really knew what they were doing. Visiting the castle was the perfect way to end lockdown and what a way to regain a bit of normality! Next time we will definitely stay the night.

It truly was an experience we would NOT have missed - the staff, venue, food, ambience and experience was truly magical ... the only thing there was no guarantee of was the weather, which was abysmal - but that didn’t deter us from having a wonderful time! Relaxed yet with high standards; homely and yet professional. We loved it. Menu was limited when we visited the first week after lockdown not least because of the small number of guests, and staff were getting used to serving guests once more. The quality of the food was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend it. Local produce, local staff, creative menu and wonderful ambiance.
