Booked two nights with two mates here when staying opposite in a holiday home. What a right choice that was . Fabulous service, a warm welcome and food and drink of a high quality. The fact this place is pretty full on week nights in November says everything you need to know. I recommend you pre-book as doubt you would get in otherwise. Pheasant Inn – KeswickMy husband & I dined here a few years back & throughly enjoyed it, so of course we re-booked during our stay in Grasmere. Again, we couldnt fault the food it was amazing & the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the rave going on in the kitchen was slightly distracting… didnt seem to deter the chef though so not sure if its a complaint or not?!

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe always come here for dinner one night when staying in Grasmere. Great food and choice of drinks with fantastic service. We shared a scallop and black pudding starter then I opted for the seabass as a main which was delicious and my hubby chose the pork, he said it was melt in the mouth tender and quite a large portion. We skipped dessert but had a Cheeseboard to share accompanied by a glass of port each. Cannot fault and can recommend.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe service was excellent from the minute we entered the pub. The guys were super attentive and very friendly. My wife had the Beef Pie which she said was excellent. I had the Fish Pie, which was packed with Salmon, Smoked Fish and Mussels. It also had lots of mash and topped with melted cheese. The only negative for me, was it was a little dry and could have done with having more sauce within the pie.
