Had a fantastic roast beef on Sunday at this lovely country pub. Quick service and delicious hot fresh food. Lovely crispy potatoes and loads of gravy perfect roast beef will definitely be back.

Best Sunday roast dinner we have had for a long time. Generous portion with loads of lamb/beef and lashings of gravy. Roast potatoes were perfect too. Service was great and done with a smile. We will definitely be back.

Best Sunday lunch in the area. Only slight gripe is the broccoli is always too undercooked but the cauliflower cheese is to die for.

Lovely atmosphere and wine selection, music a bit too loud, food overpriced for what you get and lack of knowledge on allergens was disappointing in this day and age. Simple symbols stating what is gf or gfa would have made our experience much better.

Lunching at the Chequers has become a family tradition over the years. When we visit my 93 yr old mum, who has lived in Lymington for 40 years we always enjoy a Saturday lunch here. The welcome is always warm and the food delicious.

Baja is always first choice for me ànd my friend when we visit whiteley but this visit yesterday was quite disappointing. Server took my order but didn't ask if I wanted àny drinks. Called her back later to order drinks. Food took over half an hour to reach us ànd was annoyed that table next to us who came after ànd ordered burritos like us were served first. We did get an apology for the wait though. Food wasn't as good as it tends to be so not sure what happened there. Music way too loud too. *IMPORTANT* - please, please train your staff to not spray tables with detergent and to spray into their cloths, when people are eating close by!! Thanks.

I popped in, on my way to the cricket. The barman was very friendly and helpful. I ordered drinks and had gammon with egg, chips and peas. The food was delicious and was one of the best gammon meals that I have eaten . I followed it up with more drinks and mixed berry crumble and custard. This too was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. I used the toilet before I left and they were very clean. All in all a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely try and visit again when attending the cricket.

We really enjoyed our lunch at The Chequers Inn. We received a friendly and warm welcome from the lovely hosts and were looked after without feeling rushed. We had two of the fish specials which were delicious and accompanied by a generous portion of new potatoes and vegetables. The fish was perfectly cooked, and served piping hot on a lovely hot plate, so it didn't cool off too quickly. I wish I'd been hungry enough to have a pudding, but the main was such a good size I didn't need one. This is a real hidden gem and when next I'm back in the area, I'll definitely return. Thanks!

Wow what an amazing little place, superb food, with a variety of options available which is all cooked fresh, really attentative staff. This was the first time visiting this place but will definitely be returning. I have been telling everyone I know what a lovely meal we had and you must visit it. Thank you for making our evening so very enjoyable and special.

We had a lovely evening at Baja, the food was exceptional & good value for money, the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting this little gem again. Thank you again to the wonderful staff.

We had a walk to Chequers along the Marshlands and both decided to have the Dorset pork Roast. We both enjoyed the meal, service was good and was value for money. Will definitely will go again
