We arrived, as a party of 5, on a busy Sunday afternoon but that didn’t deter the staff from providing a good service. They apologised for the delay in seating us but this gave us ample time to have a drink beforehand at the bar area. The meals were well presented with ample portion size. The service staff checked to ensure everything was satisfactory. It really had a pleasant ambience, we weren’t rushed and would definitely return.

Food was fantastic Staff were friendly, happy and efficient Could do with a better wine menu would have stayed longer to enjoy a bottle

Had a fantastic 3 course meal. Fresh quality ingredients. Great service, brilliant value for money. The sticky toffee pud is awesome. Will definitely book again

Lovely interior staff polite and helpful Presentation of food and drinks first class We had Sunday lunch 2 pieces of beef !!!sorry like shoe leather small portions with a large Yorkshire pudding to fill the plate,jug of gravy again to fill the plate,few veggies and cut up potatoes Very sorry wouldn't order Sunday roast again.

We had Sunday Brunch here for the first time. The quality of the food service etc. is excellent. The small details like the cutlery, the plates and dishes etc. have all been addressed so well that it makes for a very pleasant dining experience. These guys know what they are doing! Only downside was that the restaurant was a bit quiet but 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning probably isn't heaving anywhere.

An excellent, innovative and beautifully presented meal in relaxed and informal surrounds. Loved the black pudding with polenta, and my friend said her fish stew was delicious. Only regret was not having room for dessert. Maybe next time...along with the cocktails!!

Visited Astoria last night for a girly night had a Brill Experience. Good service, delish food and great cocktails will definitely be returning

Been coming here for over 30 years and never had a bad meal. Staff always attentive and happily prepare a chicken dish for my husband that is no longer on the menu. Noisy and cheerful, just as an Italian restaurant should be.

Excellent food good atmosphere

My wife and I have visited several times, both at lunch and evening time. On each occasion the ambience, service and food have been excellent. Based on our experiences, I worked with Simon who put together a superb multi-choice 3-course evening meal, plus introductory drink (again with options) at a very competitive price for a group of 21 Rotarians. Having pre-ordered each individual meal, the evening went like clockwork with attentive and co-ordinated service, superbly cooked and presented meals and a very happy group of people. Thank you Soji, Simon and the Team for giving us a wonderful evening.

3rd visit since opening . Been with hubby then friends and finally took mother for her birthday!! Excellent each time , lovely attentive service . The tapas is the best I have had and we tried the new lunch menu and had pasta this time which was fresh hot and really tasty. I was always stuck where to go before but not anymore. Great for any occasion Tried lots on the tapas menu and all tasted amazing. The wines are really good also . I’ve not tried the desserts as yet been too full. You are never rushed and can sit and eat and drink without feeling pressure to pay the bill or vacate your table . Lovely ambiance. Finally really well priced, would suit most budgets .

Saturday was our 3rd visit to the Ginger Bistro. Excellent meal. We had the special which was full rack of ribs for 2 people for £22. It was amazing! Best ribs I’ve ever had. We were with another couple who also opted for the ribs special. We all struggled to finish it but refused to leave any as it was so good. The service was yet again excellent, the wine very good and we managed to share a creme brûlée as it would have been rude not to. We look forward to our next visit soon.

Love this place. Had Sunday lunch 2 courses, there were 6 of us, all meals were delicious and hot Staff very friendly Can definitely recommend
