We visited on Saturday evening for the first time. We had a delicious meal and it definitely won't be our last visit. The food was tasty, piping hot and arrived promptly. The place was busy, it's only small, but we waited just the right time between courses. I would recommend booking so you won't be disappointed if you just turn up and they are full. The atmosphere was lovely, smiling staff , happy customers. Looking forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on 23 May. Both of us chose the Seafood money bags which were excellent. Our dog also received a warm welcome and enjoyed her visit!

After booking a trip to Tabby Teas for a friends birthday who loves cats I had no idea if we would have a good experience or not. Having looked at other places I decided this place would be the best over other ones. Firstly the access to the place is fantastic and parking was brilliant as the Waitrose carpark was only a stones throw away and free for 2 hours. The visit was an hour long and we enjoyed the whole experience. The coffee and cakes were lovely, the 8 cats were all very playful and clearly addicted to chicken and very polite when taking it from our hands. All the cats looked and seemed extremely healthy and well looked after and the peaceful music and general vibe of the place was just fantastic. Looking at some other cat cafe’s some looked drab and boring. Tabby Teas had lovely staff who clearly put a lot of love into the place and were happy to talk and share their experiences. Will be going again for sure. Looking forward to it.

A beautiful experience. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. It felt a really special place with a lovely atmosphere with a nice family feel too. It is one of the best places I’ve been. The food was amazing. Every dish was delicious. Absolutely can’t wait to return

Very good service and the food is exceptional

Third time eating here in the last year. Excellent service and quality of food, big shout out to beth who was our fabulous waitress! She had a great sense of humour and just made the experience at el toro a great one! Food was hot and delicious. Very short wait time, we tried so may dishes between three of us on the all you can eat menu. It really is great value for money!

If you like cats, then Tabby Teas is the place to visit. Staff and atmosphere are lovely, cats are friendly, and they seem happy and well taken care of, and the coffee is of good quality (the cakes too).

We were camping nearby so booked in for a Sunday lunch. It didn’t disappoint. Pleasant staff and a top notch Sunday roast! Will return

Ordered 2 beef Sunday dinners. Both came with minimal veg, roasts were dry, bland and not crisp, beef was pre-sliced and not from a joint, was chewy/ tough/ fatty in parts. Gravy was nice. Yorkshire pudding was nice and big. Cauliflower cheese was nice. So to improve more veg, better roasts and beef. Service was adequate, the dining area was crowded with table/ chairs possibly to try and cope with the busy season. A forgettable atmosphere with no music but a clean, simplistic look.

Excellent street tacos with generously sized and delicious fillings. The tortillas are homemade corn which is very authentic. Worth the visit for sure.

Just been to your York buffet and can’t praise it enough. We paid £25 for the lunch time buffet as it is may bank holiday. The staff and food are excellent clean restaurant with every thing you need and value for money. Can’t wait to try the Wakefield one when it opens

This place was terrible. For starters the homemade bread we got with our food was stale. When we asked for more we were told there wasn’t any left. Then with our main there was more stale bread… when we asked about it we were told that the bread is frozen and they needed to thaw some out. The plates were dirty the cutlery was dirty. My steak was overcooked, I ate a reasonable amount but when I told the waitress that it was bad they told me I should have been told they overcooked the steak and I could have had another one cooked properly. When I told them I wasn’t going to pay for me steak they told me I would get 10% off it and that the manager had got us a special 5% extra so the total discount for a bad steak that wasn’t cooked correctly would have been approx £2.50!? This was totally unacceptable. The waitress then guilted us by saying she would pay for the steak instead. What an awful thing to do to paying customers who’d driven 40 mins to get there!! There was a table of rude older people who were making snide comment about my fiancé all throughout the meal too Overall terrible, avoid this place at all costs!!!

Fantastic as always, staff, atmosphere, and especially the food

Really enjoyed our meal. It seems the team have their methods of managing guests organised, in terms of accessing the Carvery. Great food, great staff, great value for money. We will be back. If I had one area to comment on, it would be the area where we are directed to pay. Getting people to pay at the entry / exit desk creates a bit of a bottle neck. People wanting to pay, people wanting to be seated at their desk, people wanting to leave. Appeared to create a bit of pressure on the staff in that area. Maybe bring the handheld terminals to the diners table to pay could eradicate that bottle neck(?)

Fantastic meal, great service and lovely view over the harbour. The seafood was delicious, we had the hot seafood platter with a side salad and a lovely bottle of wine...perfect. We look forward to returning.
