Our first time in the Royal Oak for a meal and it won't be the last. It was a quiet Wednesday but there was still a pleasant atmosphere in both the bar and the dining room. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. There was a good choice of items from the menu and the food was excellent and good value for money. The dining room was cosy and comfortable and had a real country pub feel. Well certainly be back, especially as the pub is on my dog's favourite walk and also has a decent beer garden. Well worth a visit.

We came for lunch yesterday, the food was amazing, really tasty and great portion sizes. the staff were fantastic too, very attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed it & would definitely recommend here, great value too :)

The food was absolutely lovely and I would recommend this place to anyone. We're definitely going to come back next time we're in Leeds!

Pleasant cafe. Service a bit slow. We felt the food was pretty basic. I had scampi chips and peas, it was very much supermarket fare. Portion was quite small would not suit a younger person. My husband had the fish goujon sarnie, it was ok the lettuce a little old. We have been before and it was much better. It was maybe a bit of an off day. We would still use it again.

We had the most delicious Festive Afternoon Tea, highly recommend.

We had 3 course Christmas lunch and the food was delicious, delightful ingredients & exceptionally well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed & highly recommended.

We visited The Crown on Sunday 4th of December for my birthday and had a lovely first visit. The service was great, food (generous portions) was delicious and very reasonably priced. The Yorkshire Puddings were amazing and there was plenty of gravy and vegetables. We will definitely be returning and we’ve already recommended to friends and family. Thank you.

Another delicious Meal at Little Sicily for my Sons Birthday. Always great service and food. We visit often.

All in all very good service. Pleasant and polite staff. No complaints at all on the quality of the food we ordered but not the same place it used to be. Lots of our favourite things have been taken off the food and drink menu in recent times and also lots of things we ordered were unavailable including no beer on tap, no Fanta for the kids, no lasagne, no cookie dough ice cream that the kids ordered. Used to be one of our favourite places to eat but unsure we'll be going back in a hurry.

Last minute Sunday lunch, welcomed by very friendly staff and shown to the table - Food came out very quickly and good portion with an enormous Yorkshire Pudding! We really enjoyed it, food was hot and well cooked and presented, staff were attentive, everything you could want really.

We had a lovely meal. The carvery was fresh, hot and with so much choice. We prebooked which was really easy to do online. The prices are very reasonable and options for the different sizes of meal are great. Such a lovely finale to a family weekend, thank you.

Superb little family Restaurant- full as usual and served excellent food with friendly faces without waiting but not giving us pressure. This is simply one of the very best Italian eateries you can find.. ANYWHERE !!. Excellent 5 stars and unbeatable value.

This was my first visit after my husband had been at me to go for ages but we had not been to York for over a year. I was not disappointed! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and very efficient. We had the special banquet for 2 and all the food was cooked perfectly and the flavours were very well balanced. We couldn't eat it all and they asked if we wanted to take some home and of course we said yes. Will definitely go again!
