A lunchtime visit 2days ago with my husband,his 96 year old mother & our dog Perdy was very enjoyable. I reserved a table requesting an inside window view . My mum in law hadn’t seen the sea for many years & although she used to visit the coastline frequently with her late husband , she had never been to Fraisthorpe. The view of Flamborough Head was bathed in sunlight & looked amazing. As I had hoped. We were served very quickly with drinks , then because the food is cooked to order we had a bit of a wait.( But it’s not a fast food venue. !) When the food arrived it was delicious & well worth waiting for. My husband was hoping to order a dessert & coffee but the Cow Shed became so busy & the waiter was taking so many orders outside & inside that we decided to leave . The food is excellent as is the view . Also the number of different breeds of dogs coming & going is fascinating. This was very much appreciated by our dog Perdy! Highly recommend. Well worth a visit especially if you are a dog lover !

Cosy and friendly with excellent food and attentive staff

Absolutely wonderful place. Staff were lovely and food was absolutely delicious. We returned for tea later that day after a fabulous lunch and the Manager asked if we would like the sofa seat to admire the wonderful views over the sea. Will definitely be back! What a magical place.

This is the second year we have visited the area with our two boxers and we made a beeline straight to the Cow Shed knowing we'd get great food and friendly service - and we weren't disappointed! Already looking forward to returning in September 2023

Outstanding. I went about 15 years ago as a child and thought, let's go again. Honestly the food was so good and the drinks menu amazing. Had the crab which was delightful and so cheap. The citrus yuzu sake was great as well.

3 of us had a fantastic meal on a busy Friday night. We all opted for the special, which was exceptional - pork knuckle. The waitress Abbie was polite, friendly and knowledgable. When we were chatting we mentioned it was the birthday of one of our party, so she arranged a free dessert. First time any of us had been there, it won’t be the last. Thank you

This is my fourth visit to Mistal because I love it so much. Came with my colleagues this time for lunch/afternoon to use the ‘wellness workspace’. Hot chocolate and lemon cake were delicious. I usually have the amazing avocado/peas on toast and poached eggs when I come, but this time I had the sweet potato ciabatta which was very flavourful. I plan to keep returning :)

Absolutely outstanding food. This is the second time we have been and it was just as good as the first time. Service was excellent. I fancied some fish and the very helpful waiter recommended the Sea Bream. It was a large plump fish cooked perfectly which I had with some greens that the waiter mixed with olive oil and lemon for me. The starters we had were also delicious and the meatballs were the best I've had, very light and tender and so tasty! Top nosh here!

We love it at the Cow Shed. The service is excellent, staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is fab, really tasty, well presented and value for money. The views are amazing here with a view of the sea, what more do you need. We have breakfast, lunch and used the takeaway too. We also bring family and friends, they love it too. We are happy with the news that there will be early evening service here, count us in.

Favourite place to eat in Hull! It never disappoints. The atmosphere is always great and the staff are so welcoming. Always a good selection of beers from light to dark. Dyslexic fries FTW!

Our second visit to the Craven Arms and we had a really enjoyable meal. The food was excellent, the service attentive and efficient . The evening was good value for money in pleasant surroundings. We would definitely recommend and will return

We went on Saturday for evening dinner. I had the chicken supreme which was very good. My friend had «  the best burger ever ». The chocolate dessert was wonderful. Service was efficient but very relaxed. I particularly liked the fact that only the patio allowed dogs in the evening.
