We had a very enjoyable evening at Brontaes, I had the lamb croquettes which were divine and much larger than I expected followed by the fillet of beef, the potato was sublime and all beautifully seasoned followed by the chocolate cherry love pudding! The service was good and I enjoyed watching the chefs prepare the dishes. The menu was reasonably priced for the quality, definitely recommend. An opportunity for up selling…we had a bottle of white wine, had I been asked if I’d like a glass or bottle of red wine with my beef I would have said yes. Just a suggestion ❤️

Had a great night out with family and friends for my wifes birthday.Great food and lots of it.Will definitely return.

We had a great time at brooks for a late lunch. It was a cosy warm atmosphere we were seated on the 2nd floor. The staff were polite, cheery and attentive and we felt very welcomed. The food was very tasty and we ordered 3 plates each of the tapas to try which were delicious. There was a little wait for the food to come however this could be rectified if we had ordered starters for example which we did not. The bill was a tad pricey because of the additional service charge however it was expected as we ensured we enjoyed ourselves with the food and wine. Definitely will return to try more of the menu.

Delicious food, really friendly service and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Only feedback I would give is please give kitchen closing times when booking a table, we didn’t realise the kitchen closed at 8:15 when we booked our 8pm table.

First time eating here and wasn't dissapointed everything cooked to perfection had the sirloin steak, portions are extremely generous for the price, atmosphere lovely and staff helpful, polite and attentive. Myself and my husband will definitely book a table again had a lovely evening celebrating my birthday.

Me and my Wife really enjoyed the food, Drinks where good to will be visiting again in the Future.

Lost count of how may times we have visited both anlaby road and newland. The team always fantastic, recommendations spot on. The wine list great selection and recommendation with the meal choice spot on. Friendly staff, owner clearly has passion and puts customer first. And visible to speak with. 5 star across the board. Only one thing is myself and wife go often however sometimes take our son. A small child's menu would help to encourage early dinners who want to eat the delicious food. We took our son again yesterday 7 and was not the only child and had to order him a starter and he sad some of our chips. However still the best resturant in hull for value, portion sizes, staff and great food. Will continue ue to go back for years to come.

The food was absolutely amazing me and my friends loved it xx I will definitely be coming again, hopefully very soon. And the price for food is really good too .cocktails are very nice as well

Ordered the chicken and ham pie, which was great. Really creamy and with a good kick of black pepper and crispy pastry. Veg and mash were disappointing, though - lacked a little love and were both dry (I assume from being kept warm under lights). Excellent beer to accompany the meal, so I will be back to this local restaurant.

Distinctively average!! We were seated by the door, so we were greeted by a freezing breeze every few minutes as people left/arrived. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, rather than being delivered as it was cooked, it was all brought together. Meaning that by the time we worked our way through our selection, it was cold. The time from starters at mains was really long too. They ran out of our wine selection and also didnt inform us of dishes they had run out of until we went to order them (for mains and desserts) We felt very much ignored by the staff throughout our visit, sadly we wont be returning. There are much more attentive places in Ilkley to visit

Food was ok, not much of vegetarian choice in the main course. There was only Moussaka. Food was not marked on menu if it’s vegetarian or not.

Really great food as always. Didn't fancy sushi/sashimi as the weather out was really cold. Had tempura veg to start and Chicken Teryaki Bento Box for the main meal. If anything there was too much food. I left feeling very full, but everything was great tasting. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The decor is not as fancy as other Oriental places nearby. But I feel that Fuji Hiro concentrates on quality and authenticity over a fancy interior. My only concern is the waiting time, which can be unpredictable. So, if you're in a rush, this might not be a good choice.

Excellent every time. The food is amazing and served quickly which is perfect when you only have an hour lunch-break :)

Visited Brontaes twice now and I haven't been disappointed. Fabulous food, Super service and real value for money. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent and I feel really lucky to have a restaurant of this standard on my doorstep!

Had a meal here during our holiday. It was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh, it was really hot, and the portions were more than generous. The staff were lovely too, and we would highly recommend a meal at The Craven Arms. Our only suggestion would be that there could be a better selection of beers, maybe local ones.

Gorgeous meal for my sons 17th birthday... everyone enjoyed their meal with a special call out to the salmon pasta and pizzas... don't think they could get any better!!!
