A very good quality meal with good service. Our only complaint would be that on a very cold night the main door being opened and closed so often for takeaway orders, particularly delivery companies, made the main restaurant chilly and draughty. Perhaps consider setting up a separate entrance/window for takeaway collections?

Not greatly impressed. This was recommended by a Friend so my expectations were high however I was very underwhelmed. We had booked in advanced but they didnt seem to know this, staff needed to be prompted? We were left when we got seated and had to grab a member of staff to service us, then we were asked what we wanted?? We had booked for Afternoon tea to celebrate a colleagues retirement. We eventually ordered our drinks, tea and iced water, the waiter brought our tea, no water then abandoned us again! We managed to catch him after a while for the water which he apologied for. We were then left again!!! After some time we grabbed someone to ask about our food but again had to ask someone again as it still hadnt arrived. By the time it did come our tea had gone cold, they did get us fresh tea. Very underwhelmed by the food, I'm vegetarian and had explained this on my booking, there was only one variety for me to choose from? In general we all felt the variety of sandwiches was poor and expected more of a selection however they were delicious. From the photos we had expected a variety of scones but had been given one fruit scone each which was disappointing as 2 of us enjoy cheese scones. The cake selection was nice enough but I do not think it was worth the money we all spent on this. I did complain to the waiter and explain how disappointed and underwhelmed I was and he did bring me 2 more vegetarian sandwiches but I feel the moment had passed for all of us by then. To be fair it was extremely business however that still doesnt take away the lack of preparation, neglect and limited choice we recieved.

Nice food, great service by the friendly staff, the lighting was poor so couldn't really see what I was eating I ordered a £27 steak I'd of liked to see what I was eating.

I am currently traveling to York very frequently on business and have eaten at many a good restaurant, but finding this lovely friendly restaurant with delicious food makes it very hard for me to travel to York without dining at Oshibi at least once per trip. Oshibi is now a firm favourite with me and my colleagues when visiting York. Food is full of flavour. The cinamin pancake is a must try desert. Have dined there 9 times in last 4 months, never had a bad meal.

We had an early bird meal it was outstanding and all the staff were really friendly.

To be honest we were disappointed with our experience, though I might be being unfair, see below. The pub was really nice, friendly staff and allowed dogs inside which added to our experience, however we went there with the kids for a meal. Over half the menu was unavailable as they were moving to a new one in a couple of weeks, and while I accept this might limit some options, to still offer curry but be told there was no rice or naan bread seemed extreme. Also we ordered a cheese burger which came without cheese, when we pointed this out we were given a small tub of grated cheese to add, and politely told they'd amend the bill for us as it had been missed off. That said, the pizzas were made fresh on site and my kids loved them. It might just have been a timing thing but with no other pubs on site it was really disappointing.

Once again , a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Lady owner is so attentive , friendly and helpful.

Group of 6 of us plus 2 dogs went for Sunday lunch after a walk around Harewood. Really welcoming staff, real fire, great service and excellent food. Had a great meal and very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be going again. This is what all village pubs should be like!

Had a great evening. Great food and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No over fussing. We will all definitely be back.

It was my birthday and went for Sunday lunch . £20 for 3 courses . Couldn’t fault it . Was lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient also .

Unfortunately the table we booked for our works Christmas Meal on 22nd December was cancelled by the host on 15th December because (as advised on email received 15/12/21), "we have taken the decision to close for the Christmas period and the last date we will be open will be Friday 17th December". So unfortunately I have no scores to give in this review. Maybe we will try the venue at a later date.
