Five of us enjoyed a family meal at the Craven Arms. Food and service excellent- a thoroughly pleasant evening.

We visited yesterday and was hoping for the Taco's but when we arrived it was the Sunday Lunch menu, it was our own fault for not checking the face book page first! . At first we were gutted but honestly it was the most amazing food I've eaten in a while. The beef short ribs and country fried chicken oh god it was fantastic !! Definitely recommend visiting Food for Cowboys !!! Hope to be back soon ! Thank you :)

Fabulous Sunday lunch at Copper Cow - perfectly cooked roast beef with all the trimmings. Great service and food. Our third visit in three months so highly recommended!

Excellent Sunday Lunch

We came here on Sunday the Copper Cow was looking really warm and inviting. We were 5 minutes early but our table was ready so got seated straight away which was good as it was very busy. We ordered a sharing platter of the Sunday roast which was all 3 meats and absolutely loads of veg and Yorkshire puddings. I asked for extra gravy and we were brought a large gravy boat with the meal. I didn’t catch our waiters name but he was very polite and efficient. My only disappointment was I was too full for a pudding so will have to go back soon for one.

Lovely food, as usual. The cod, the lemon sole ad the prawns were cooked perfectly. The welcome was friendly. We'll be back.

Sadly this was a disappointing experience. We were a table of 6 and were booked early when few tables were occupied. Our starters were not delivered together - about 15 minutes from the first to last being delivered. It appears that one of them had been forgotten. Main courses were delivered closer together but I reckon the quality of the cooking was medium, not high. Service was patchy. This was due in part to a very new team member (presumably not well trained), and no team work between the servers and the kitchen. The kitchen seemed to be struggling to get out food orders. One of the serving staff spent a long time chatting to a couple at a nearby table who he appeared to know well - to the detriment of the service overall. This will be our last visit!

After an exhausting day and a long drive, the comfort of The Craven Arms was a most welcome and very much appreciated oasis. Comfortable warm rooms a great shower, good selection of beer on tap and an excellent meal followed by a very comfortable night's sleep, an excellent full Yorkshire breakfast saw us rejuvenated for another busy day. Absolutely great

We really enjoyed our meal! We got a selection of tacos and a couple of drinks each…loved the pineapple soft drink and also had one of the best Palomas I’ve ever drank! Tacos were great - ox cheek and Birria were our favourites! My only bit of negative feedback is that we were a table of two and we were seated at the only table downstairs by the door. It meant there wasn’t much of an atmosphere and although we had a great time it did feel like a weird spot for a table. No fault of the staff but it was cold and obviously draughty when people came in and out meaning I kept my coat on the entire time. It was also very quiet apart from the kitchen noise so I would say maybe only seat groups there? We still had a great time just felt we would have had a better atmosphere upstairs

Lovely atmosphere, great food and fabulous service from start to finish, bottomless brunch was brilliant value, the girls kept the drinks flowing throughout

The food was amazing especially the birria tacos the consume was a delight. Our only negative if you can even call it one is that we were asked to vacate the table after 2 hours which is fine and understandable but it would have been nice to have known before hand. Atmosphere was fantastic and can’t wait to come back and try more options

Amazing food and drinks! One of the best places to eat in the city. Will definitely keep coming back!
