just had my birthday meal here very good food. Service very good. Staff very friendly and nothing 2 much trouble. Only down side no draught beer.

Excellent food and service. Excellent Covid19 prevention safety procedures in place in the restaurant. We have eaten in a few restaurants since Lockdown was relaxed for restaurants, but going to Maxis Restaurant was the first time we felt very safe eating in a restaurant, due to their new Covid19 procedures. Well done Maxis Restaurant.

This restaurant is like a hidden gem and I can't believe I hadn't been sooner. It's very small and cosy inside with a really great atmosphere, I came with friends and had a great time but it's quiet so imagine it would be good for a lone lunch too. The food was amazing, the okonomiyaki came on cute little sticks for sharing, the katsu curry was delicious and the portions are huge, one of our party couldn't finish their enormous katsudon and the staff offered a takeaway box without even being asked. Staff are friendly and courteous and overall the experience made for a really great evening, we will definitely be coming back here!

Booked last minute for a family meal and was lucky to get a table and it’s clear to see why. From the first moment we arrived the attentive staff took care of our every need and played and entertained our young family. The meal was sublime and presentation was lovely a real taste of Greece albeit on a rainy evening in Hull. Will definitely go again next time we visit Hull.

We booked a table as this pub is normally full. We come here for lunch every time we visit Bridlington. The food is home cooked and always nice. Regarding Covid they had hand sanitiser around, one way systems, I felt like it was organised. I had the crab cakes with Asian salad and it was absolutely beautiful, nice and fresh. The rest of the family had got roast stotties and they all said how nice they were. I love the fact my dog is welcome and they even have a doggie menu; he loved his Cumberland sausage and puppicino

Thank you 31 Castlegate! Had a delicious meal here with myhusband on Wednesday 26th Aug. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a great table round a corner and close to the fireplace, ideal for a romantic meal for two. We will certainly be back and will recommend it to all our friends and family.

Me and the Mrs went in for date night on a Friday night our first since lockdown ended and were not disappointed. The restaurant looks nice, the staff were great and the ambience was good too. I had the seafood risotto which was amazing and the wife had the duo of fish which was also great. The red wine was excellent too, I believe it was the Primitivo. Definitely recommend and will become a regular for us.

Booked Fuji Hiro as wanted Japanese food and really glad we did, the decor doesn’t look amazing when you arrive so our friends were a little hesitant but the food was impeccable. The sushi looked and tasted fantastic and the ramen and Katy’s curry, gyoza were all great too!

Had a lovely meal on Saturday 29th August I had the scampi and chips and my husband had pizza. Felt very covid safe, one of the few places we've been where the staff have face coverings. Huge meals, friendly staff will definitely go again next time we're on holiday

We throughly enjoyed our experience here at 31 Castlegate on 29th August. All Covid-19 safety measures in place adequately. The food was absolutely delish and the service excellent. Well worth a visit. However, the decor is a tad outdated and could do with a slight makeover, apart from that 5*’s from us ..

Wonderful meal for a birthday celebration. Food was fantastic and the teenager of the family even threw in the delicious word, so must be pretty good to get anything other than the usual grunt of approval. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Might have been our first visit but it won’t be the last.

Booked a table online. When we arrived it was very busy outside where you had to wait to be seated. The staff were excellent and we were shown to our table within minutes. Very well run with the Covid restrictions in place. The food was excellent and plenty of it! Service was excellent and all staff members attentive. We will be coming back here now we've found this place

Superb service from start to finish. A good selection of vegan options which were amazing and not too expensive as you're paying for high quality food. We was seated near the window with Clifford Tower for our view. It was stunning. We're happy we had the chance to dine at 31 Castlegate. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you.

We usually enjoy a visit to Georgios, although it’s always rather noisy. We all felt that they could have done a lot more to make their customers feel more comfortable during the Covid crisis. Tables were too close, not all waitresses were wearing face covering, there was little attempt at social distansing by other customers or staff. I had booked, but this was completely ignored on arrival, when I enquired about my requested quiet table, I was told by a VERY miserable and unsmiling member of staff that they were very busy. Not all the waitresses were unpleasant , others were very helpful, however, throughout the meal our party felt that the restaurant was not being rigorous enough about keeping their customers safe.
