The place out side and seating area was lovely then once i was seated and asked for my order i could see through to the cooking area it was filthy dirty the food was horrible and the price for two was a hundred and twenty pound we both could not even place the food in our mouths it is a wonder health an safety have not closed it.

closed for the summer, after another year of consistently good value food, September can't come quick enough. Well done to all the staff for a very good job.

This is a real hidden gem in Southport, being just down one of the sidestreets off Lord Street. The food is very high quality for the price and the service is very friendly. There is quite a range to choose from too, including roast dinners seven days a week. The gravy on the braised steak alone is worth the visit. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the kids (and you) will love the sweet trolley.

My favourite curry house in Southport and I've tried them all. Service is very polite and friendly. I dine there and get takeaway often, and the food is just lovely. In some Indian restaurants they use pretty much the same sauce for everything, but this is the real deal! I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

My family and myself have been eating here for many years infact since the Kasturi opened. This is our favourite Indian restaurant. We do on occation try other restaurants, even if only to remind us just how good the Kasturi is. The Kasturi is also a very family and child friendly restaurant, children are always welcomed and they will even prepare and recommend dishes just for them, there is even a lollipop offered at the end of the meal for them. The staff at the Kasturi are very friendly, always polite, and helpful. The manager has even been advising us, over the past several years, on what strength of curry to give our son and has recently suggested that we increase its strength from the milder dishes to a more medium strength dish from the menu. And what can I say about the menu and the food that is presented to us. The menu is very varied, it has all the usual dishes you would expect to find as well as a few that are only available at the Kasturi. The food is always served hot, (no pun intended), and only fresh ingredients are used, my own personal favorites from the menu are:- Starter poppodoms - mixed kababs - chicken pakora - or chicken tikka. Main Chicken Tava or Karai Chicken Madras or Bengal I find that vindaloo is way to hot for me But more recently a nice chicken bhuna I don't always have rice with my meal as some of the dishes really don't need rice particularly the bhuna, but that's my choice. We can really say and mean! "The Kasturi is the best Indian restaurant in Southport" . We have never had a bad experience here yet. The Kasturi is always spot on, for both the quality of food and the quality service. Molly, Steve and Chris

Visited Fat Momma's for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. The ambience was relaxed and homely. We were greeted by Mike, one of the owners, who was friendly and welcoming. For starters we had the crab cakes, chorizo mix and spring rolls - all of which were delicious. For mains we all had the Mediterranean Lamb - again excellent. For dessert, I had the ice-cream and liquor special - a yummy combination of choc flakes, liquor and ice-cream. My sister and her friend both had liquor coffees (pleased to see real cream not the squirty version!). Staff were attentive but not overbearing. Altogether a really enjoyable evening - we'll definitely be going back

What a great night we had on thursday 25th June at Fat Momma's, our food was perfect, the atmosphere was great, and we were made very welcome by mine host Mike , I can recommend the mushroom fritte, the batter was so light and crispy,I also had the cheesy garlic bread as a side order , yummy!!!!!!!.My main course was linguine paecatore, it had plenty of seafood in and the linguine was cooked just right , the sauce was very spicy. For dessert I had Summer berry tart which was light and refreshing,All in all a great evening was had by our table of myself and two friends. End

Good quality local restaurant with very friendly staff. I've eaten twice there in the last two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The prices are extremely reasonable, and personally I enjoyed it more than the meal I had at the more upmarket Indian restaurant nearby.

Madhari Indian Restaurant – Mossley Hill

Been here twice now and both times the food was beautiful. First time with my Mrs and we had a 3 course Sunday special for just under £10 each. Fantastic value for money. The second time with all the family for my son's 14th birthday. We all chose from the A La Carte menu which was obviously more expensive, but we were all full up and everyone of us had clean plates. Very surprising considering we had 3 children with us!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone. A++

I must say I was very disappointed by the quality of the food. It was the worst Chinese meal I had and I won't be returning. The food was sloppy & over saturated with sauce. TERRIBLE!!

We booked a table for four for Father's day by email a week previously. Their website states that they do not reply to confirm the bookings so we rang on the Friday before the reservation date. They confirmed everything was in order. We got there on the day with our two elderly guests and were told that they had no record of the booking. Their view was that we must have booked with their other "restaurant" whom we must also have rung to confirm. We didn't. We checked the phone number on our list of calls dialled on the mobile phone and rang it. They answered as "the Monro" and the number coincided with that on their website for the Monro (not the James Monro). We had contacted the correct premises. When we asked why they don't reply to emails to confirm bookings they told us that they were "too busy". They offered, however, to send us in a taxi to their other restaurant, the James Monro Speakeasy as it is billed! which we declined. Simply put, they ruined father's day for a pensioner, tried to make us appear stupid in the process (it could only have been our fault) and really didn't give a damn. We will never reserve a table with them again.

I visited fat momma's with a group of friends and we were surprised at the choice of food on the menu, so we decided to order different starters so that we could all try each others, the tempura sole was my favourite, followed closely by the chicken quesedilla, for my main course I had the Peppered Fillet Steak,I also tried couple of my friends main courses of Baked Salmon, and Chicken Creme all off which were very good, we had the house white and red wine which was excellent and good value.I then finished off with the lightest profiteroles that I have ever had which where coated in a chocolate mousse. We would recommend this restaurant to all our friends. louise

Went with our 2 kids aged 7 and 9. Staff very accommodating. Great food, great service. We especially enjoyed the desserts (so often a let down at restaurants).

I went to Fat Mommas with my husband and another couple. The atmosphere was great, really lively without being too loud. The food was delicious! The baked brie to start was divine and the Mexican bread was wonderfully fiery. The steaks were tender and beautifully cooked - although I would ask for a more creamy sauce in future. The wait between courses was perfect. The food was very well priced, as was the wine. The waiting staff could have been more attentive, although they were not hard to flag down. I would absolutely recommend a trip here, particularly as some dishes are only a fiver during the 'happy hour'.
