Really like this place!

Yet another wonderful meal with great service and atmosphere. We went for the scallops and lamb again. It was just as perfect as our last visit. See you soon!

As always, the food at the Fat Loaf, Ashton on Mersey was exceptional. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and tastefully decorated. The staff are helpful with menus, friendly and cheerful. My daughter, husband and I had the hake which is my favourite and was delicious, cooked perfectly and tasty. My son had the lamb which he said was amazing! The wine - we had Shiraz - was excellent. Altogether a really enjoyable meal and we will keep coming! Thank you.

A pre concert meal and although busy as always the meal was fabulous. Great atmosphere and service. Cannot recommend enough.

Huge portions, so bring your appetite (seriously)! Food is also really tasty and great value. Been here twice now and would happily go again.

Having been on several previous occasions tonight wasn’t like previous visits. Just didn’t seem the same. Pizzas where sloppy. Service was pleasant but not the enthusiasm we previously experienced.

Went for a quick late lunch on Saturday. Friendly welcome, quick service and gorgeous food. Have only had to mark atmosphere down one as they had only just opened and only a couple of tables in there and would have preferred some Italian music on. However, absolutely love the place and already booked again for this weekend

Lovely atmosphere here, staff very good and attentive. Portion sizes average was left wanting more so overpriced. Overpriced Prosecco. I would go again and understand that under the current climate everything is suffering but like to feel full after a meal not hungry.

Hadn’t been here since before Covid and was really pleased to visit on a Saturday night and see the place thriving. It has a lovely, friendly, neighbourhood vibe and a great selection of dishes. Staff are attentive without being overbearing and seem genuinely pleased to be serving you, which is not always the case in many places. Enjoyed our visit and hope to be back soon to try something different.
