We planned to go the bank restaurant in the vault Bolton my our friends. I called to see if we could make a reservation but was advised that they were not taking books and just to walk in and they will sit you down. I asked what is the possibility if we turned up at 7/7.30pm and I was rd there wouldn't be a problem. Well we turned up and the front of house was car rude and told us to come back in an hour if we can't find anywhere to eat. He has 45 parties in front of us and no you never called because we don't have a phone. So I showed hi. The number on my phone and he said you called bury road restaurant so you should leave as they will be waiting for you. We felt so disheartened that we just walked away as all the other guest were staring at us because the waiter was so rude and loud. I would never go again. There are other restaurants in Bolton who are polite and helpful. The moral of the story is never ever go to the bank unless you have booked or have 1 or 2 hours spare and also beware the waiter is rude and likes to humiliate you.

Once again fabulous food . Lovely relaxed atmosphere and cocktails to die for .

Just had a superb Sri Lankan meal at Sigiriya in Hale. The grills were brilliant (amazing lamb chops served pink) and every curry was a knockout (lamb on the bone, lentil and spinach, but especially mustard fish and - against all expectations - the hard-boiled egg). Come for dinner to make sure you get the full menu as the lunch is usually much more limited.

Food was excellent, service a little slow and disjointed, although it was busy.

I went to Haigh Hall on Sunday, the weather was lovely, the grounds were beautiful. But it was drastically let down by the catering facilities, with families with young children having to queue for over 30 minutes to be served with the most basic of dishes. Very disappointing.

Went for lunch today lovely friendly staff excellent cocktails. I had braised beef which was gorgeous and my husband had the lamb which was delicious definitely will be going again.great little find.

Visited Gios in town last night pre theatre meal 14.95 for 2 courses. Hadn,t booked but they fitted us in was there 6.25 to 7.15 ish. Food was nice but wine very overpriced for as asked for a house one but at £21 was very steep we ordered 2 garlic breads as accompaniments too 3.95 for standard and cheese one too no price on menu given but 6.95 so effectively 3.00 for the (cheddar cheese topping) not even mozeralla. (Not very italian) We asked for bill and restaurant had then automatically added 10% service charge which to me for a table of 4 is a bit rich surely normally parties of 6 or more and is this not descretionary as too me you have to earn your tip and this wasn't stated on menus or any signs about it so I bet some people have got really stung on this and not realised. Only asking once if pepper was needed but not checking on food does not equate to earning it in my book. Before leaving looked about and notice chef had earphones on it kitchen and didn't have hat chef on either

Found this place on here after exhibiting at the NRB Show. What an amazing place. The menu was excellent, we just asked the waiter to keep bringing food. Great value too for such a venue.

What's not to like about Mary and Archie's! the best burger I have had in a long time, minced steak on brioche. a lovely relaxed quirky vibe, nice tunes, a good selection of beers real and craft oh and a dog!

Love this place. Looks cool and contemporary and Lebanese food has got to be in my top three cuisines. It was very busy at lunch which was a good sign! My wrap was excellent as was the homemade lemonade. Keen to try every dish on the menu.

Rosso is looking great after it's refurbishment. All clean white and sparkly!

Love the Blue Bay!! Food is superb , staff warn and welcoming . After a few visits the staff got to know what we liked a are ready to recommend dishes to us , never failed yet!! Top class . Well worth a visit , again and again

The hi lights:Stylish decor A large bar area Singer Busy but well organised Super service and friendly staff (we even got a rose each!) The food came out at a good pace A good selection of food The food was 'nice' The lo lights: The car park is very small and there's restricted parking outside. I was told I could park in one of the shop car parks nearby but didn't because I didn't know whether I'd face any consequences eg be locked in! In summary id go back to Indish and I'd recommend it because it's well organised and you can have a drink in the bar area after your meal too...

Great food but importantly a fine selection of Malbec!

My husband and I have dined at this location for many years and we have never had an issue booking a table. Now under the new name "The Fat Pig" I cannot get through to anyone to speak with. The telephone system prompts you towards the website to book. Unfortunately I left it too late to book for the following night due to the restaurant being new and clearly busy. He is my issue. I cant get to speak with anyone, I cant add myself to a list for cancellations. Nobody has responded to my e mail request. This has prompted me to look for reviews on the net and now I don't feel like I want to book based on some negative comments found. This could have been avoided if only somebody could have picked up the telephone....

Took my wife for afternoon tea at the Lowry. She had the champagne version and we both loved it. The restaurant is a beautiful looking space to have afternoon tea. Lovely savouries and sweet treats and loads of different types of tea to choose from.
