So nice to have a decent Italian restaurant in walking distance of home Thinking opening night was Wednesday we booked for Friday which then we found out was opening night The restaurant was busy it had a lovely busy atmosphere. We sat by the open kitchen which was great entertainment The chef and team were brilliant getting food out on time The team while on opening night all had everything under control....very professional We only had a main courses steak and spag bol which was delicious washed down with lovely glass of house red. We really wish Marcella and Jalal and their fabulous team all the best in this new adventure Looking forward to our next visit

Da Gino didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere, service and food. Wonderful to see the team, refurbishment really good. Ella front of house was her usual welcoming self. Great evening and back soon

Nice place, kitchen open, food was nice but very small portions, where was the pizza menu, noticed other tables had much larger portions, think we got starters as mains. Will not be returning.

My elderly mother and I had a wonderful lunch. The food was excellent with a good choice of vegetarian options. The staff were very helpful opening the disabled door as we arrived as my mother was using crutches. The staff also helped her leave the toilet as she would have struggled to open the heavy wooden doors. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely return with my wife and dog.

Excellent venue for lunch. A fantastic choice of food from the specials; lunch; à la Carte menus Good deal also - buy one main and get the cheaper main free. Portions of a good size too!!! Service always good with servers who smile & nothing is too much trouble. Visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed.

8 of us went after seeing “Becoming Victoria Wood” in Screen 3. We were greeted, shown to our table and offered complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. There was a great variety of dishes to suit every taste. It was a first visit for several of our group and all were impressed by the choice. Everyone chose delicious starters and main courses from the buffet - a great selection. Although the ice cream machine registered empty, a member of staff quickly topped it up and restored service. All the staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. We had a lovely evening!

Sunday roast for two. The roast beef was absolutely perfect with generous roast potatoes and selection of vegetables

We went a few weeks ago and food was awful, I spoke with a member of staff but he wasn't interested. We thought we would give it another go a few days ago as previously to the last time it had been lovely. It was dreadful. Hardly any food out and the food that was out was all dried up and looked like it was fromlunch time. I asked a few members of staff if There could be some fresh food in a couple of different dishes, I was told it was being taken off. We went around 5.30 so this wasn't the end of the night. Food was very cold, too.There was no chocolate fountain, no sushi, and the smallest selection of puddings I've ever seen. Such a shame as we used to really enjoy it here. We certainly won't be going again.

Food was okay we were a table of 9, 7adult 2 kids they refused the 2 for 1 menu because the party was over 8 even though only 7 adults 2 kids (eating off the kids menu), disappointed at the attitude of the waitress when I questioned this

We have just enjoyed two evenings at the Red Lion whist exhibiting at the NEC. This is our 6th year of visiting and the hospitality and food was excellent again. Well done on serving good and tasty pub food.

The food was very good, freshly cooked and well presented. Service excellent as always.

Eat here a lot and very rarely had a bad meal. The Sunday dinners are always the highlight. Plenty of meat, vegetables and also can have a side of cauliflower cheese.

We had a lovely meal here, the service was attentive and speedy and the food was delicious. We have recommended it to our friends :)

Excellent in every way

We travelled some miles to the Vine to meet friends and we were glad we made the journey. It was a quiet evening because of poor weather but the log fires and warmth of the welcome made for a cosy winter evening. The food was delicious and very generous and the service was excellent. We will definitely visit again.....this is a great pub!
