If you haven’t tried this gem of a restaurant yet your missing out. First visited with friends and was impressed so returned with the OH last night. A great menu with plenty of tempting options, locally sourced produce cooked to perfection. Already looking forward to another visit

4 of us went for a mid week meal, it was quite busy but we were soon seated and served. The food was all fantastic, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Locally produced meat and dairy products on the menu too, which is great to see. We will definitely be back!

Another beautiful lunch at The Dog Inn. As usual the staff were very welcoming. There were 3 adults and a 4yr old in our party. There were some lovely touches that we hadn't expected - crackers and parcel to open. I had the veg wellington for main - delicious with a spicy sauce. My son had the cheese and onion pie which he said was up there with the best and my husband had the shepherd's pie again because he liked it so much on our last visit! Starters and afters were really good too. The whole thing was a lovely experience. Looking forward to our next visit

What an absolute gem this place is, just fabulous and I can say the best meal I've had in a very long time. 4 of us went on a Thursday night and had a wonderful evening with such flavoursome food locally sourced and great service in this historic and tastefully decorated pub. Keep up the good work everyone, we shall be back and we've already recommended you to lots of people.

Meal for daughter's birthday. Four different meals all equally good. No complaints at all, excellent value for money.

A while since dining out gave the wow factor but WOW food was awesome... all cooked from scratch and a reasonable price to boot. Can't wait for Autumn menu

Been here quite a few times and food is always excellent. Especially enjoyed the tapas and food night. Good value for money and a wonderful atmosphere.
