Very disappointed with our meals and service, something had gone horribly wrong. It took 2 hours to serve mains and a desert. The chips were awful, soggy and tasteless, surely they should be getting chips right! The steak pie was so small for the price and the pastry was soggy, £16.50 for small piece of pie, soggy chips and garden peas is ridiculous. The waitresses were stood around chatting with drinks in their hands. This place has gone downhill since we last visited.

As always a lovely meal, pleasant staff and good atmosphere.

Absolutely brilliant Mothers Day meal. We had the Cotes De Boeuf special which we requested and it was fantastic. Thanks Chef. Kids meals and starters were also great and they went down a treat. Service is spot on as always by Linzi and the team and you always like you are getting great value for money. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable experience.

Took my mother as an early mother's day treat. Couldn't fault the meal. The garlic mushroom start was lovely. We had meals from the lunchtime specials menu. The portions we just enough, not to over facing. Meals were reasonably priced. Lovely friendly staff. Not the first time we've eaten there and won't be the last

The food was excellent and the service was great too, no pressure to leave the table after the meal and very good value.

We overall had a nice meal for my Dads birthday on Sunday evening. On recommendations we came for the Sunday roast and it was lovely! Unfortunately the service let the place down, whilst they were attentive when asked, we had to ask numerous times to order drinks etc and both the mains and puddings took along time to come. Would definitely return for the food however.

Sunday evening meal, was not the same standard that we enjoyed on a previous end of week lunch. Maybe different chef?

There was 9 of us and most of the meals were good but we had a long so when the food finally arrived one meal was just warm and another was over cooked and quite dry. The service was slow but there only seemed to be the one waitress? Also they had run out of a lot of things… No chunky chips, no prawns, no port etc. On the whole we enjoyed the food and atmosphere but these few niggles could have been avoided and the experience made even better. We will give it another go though.

Lovely Sunday lunch at our local. Good food, staff as always lovely!

As always the food and atmosphere were great. The only thing that shocked me was as we were leaving the kitchen door was open and we could see the chef who had really long hair, not tied back and no net on. Hairs must get on the food, hair should be covered up at all times when you are cooking.

Fantastic food, great value. Cosy pub with friendly staff. Great selection of meals, and caters for vegan and vegetarians. Highly recommended

Visited and ate again as part of our small work lunch gathering. As always, top notch food, service, ambience, and the staff topped it all. Well recommended. Thanks guys and hope to see you all again soon.

Food very good, service excellent considering the pressure on the limited staff, who worked tirelessly and at a pace to take orders, serve drinks and food as well as the bar and till. Well done ladies. The steak pie was really flavoursome and chunky chips, perfect. We will visit again soon.

We really enjoy the Traders Arms, the food is always fresh and the menu is always reliably good and the staff are always polite and attentive. The only, what I would call “bad” (probably not the right word) excuse was yesterday 26/01/25. A party of 26 were in for a birthday party so our food and others around us had to wait an hour till our meal. No one actually told us how long our food would be. If this was to happen again it might be a good idea to offer a bowl of crisps or free soft drinks maybe???
