Quench – Burgess HillI have been going to Cosmo since it opened 6 years ago, and it is definitely my favourite lunchtime buffet. The price has remained unchanged, as too has the high quality of food and friendly service. It does get busy, (especially at weekends and during school holidays), but this only demonstrates its' popularity. During busy times, there is a limit of 1 hour, which is ample, so long as you are there to eat. Great for a hungry group of friends, not so ideal for a quiet date or a business lunch. Overall, fantastic value. I haver never been disappointed. 10/10.
Cosmo Oriental Buffet – EastbourneWe love this place!! great food, great value for money and great service!!
August Moon – HastingsAs of summer 2009 The Waterside has reopened its doors. Now under new management and sensitively refurbished it offers a new dining experience within Chichester. With table service throughout, from the canal’s edge to the front terrace, you can enjoy locally sourced ingredients, including Selsey caught crab and lobster and 28 day hung beef with a glass of wine from our extensive wine list. Booking advisable
The Waterside Inn – ChichesterExcellent food, lots of variety and ample portions - a cut above the norm. Good, fast, efficient and friendly service whether dining in or ordering a take out. free delivery on telephone orders too... excellent, why go anywhere else for your Indian meal?
Chilcha – WorthingGood, character pub with good choice of well prepared and cooked dishes. Could do with a guest beer.
Old Ship – LewesFood is our favourite restaurant in Worthing. The spacious and airy, contemporary style dining layout with balcony seating is to be commended. Express lunch is great value but the main menu is always a treat and we have sampled most choices, which are consistently delicious and well-presented. There is often a live music combo, with talented young players, which creates a relaxed ambience. Waiters are always friendly and service is good. We have only once ever had a complaint about a dish and when mentioning it to the 'maitre d' on paying, the item was removed from our bill without question. Great value and recommended equally for entertaining guests or a romantic meal a deux. We always tell our friends, or better still, take them there!
Food Restaurant – WorthingGood atmosphere in smallish intimate, bistro style restaurant. Interesting range of meals and wines.
Lathams Brasserie – HastingsA lovely location, good reasonably priced food and a superb Nero d'Avola. Pleasant service added to a good night out.
Pablo’s – EastbourneThis is a great place to go and eat. The food is wonderful (all cooked from fresh) and using organic locally sourced ingredients. The service is is spot on and Ben the owner is very friendly and makes the atmosphere very welcoming. Me and my friends eat here regularly and always recommend it to others as a good place to eat. All reasonably priced and top quality.
Exquis – EastbourneA Splash of Caribbean Flavor in Rottingdean! While spending a weekend down on the coast, I tucked into the Queen Victoria Pub to get out of the rain. The interior was welcoming and clean and the bar was appealing. Besides good pub food, I was delighted to find a few items on the menu and on the specials board that would soon make up for the gray and wet day. I chose a fresh fish meal with vegetables and Caribbean rice in a lovely sauce from the board and was astounded when it was brought to me. The delivery was spectacular! The plate looked like something you would find in a **** restaurant. The fish was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were tender and each had it's own distinct flavour. I am not a big rice fan, but the peas and rice were a hit; the sauce simply luscious. I thanked the waitress and found out that Drixi is German-born and married to Chef Benjie who is Jamaican. Cudos for fantastic food, friendly service, good value and pleasant surroundings. Benjie's has not seen the last of me! Oooh! The couple also cater parties in the pub or private events in your home. Benjie's finger-food is to die for.
Benjies at the Queen Victoria Pub – Brighton and HoveThought the food was brilliant. The mussels were fantastic and the turbot was perfectly cooked. Excellent value for money!!!
Azur at The Marina Pavilion – St. Leonards-On-SeaWe keep going back to " Tides " because the food is wonderful, never been disappointed. The service is excellent and the staff friendly and welcoming. Its also easy to park .I definitely recommend a visit.
Tides Restaurant – WorthingONE WORD... FABULOUS!!!!!! Sunday lunches beyond compare for style, taste, service, options and value for money. All round the best Sunday lunch for miles and miles and miles.
Railway Inn – BillingshurstHaving eaten seafood risoto there on 3 July I became very ill with suspected food poisoning. Although I have eaten there before without any problems, I would think again. This is now in the hands of Environmental Health.
Trattoria Italiana – BexhillAmazing!
The Star Inn – HeathfieldNOT a restaurant, but an honest country pub with amazingly, excellent food (try the belly pork!). Good choice, kid-friendly, dog-loving, just off the Downs Link path, Brilliant!
Partridge Hotel – HorshamDon't bother with this one. Asked for Dover sole. Appeared uncooked and chef clearly inexperienced. Inedible but pub demanded full payment.
