Hartfields – UckfieldAttentive staff, fast service, good food. But did note the deserts were £9 on menu but £8.50 on their website.! Would still return.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeEverything was fine. Food excellent.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaGreat food. Plenty of choice. Portion sizes are just right. There was 6 of us and our plates were all empty. Service was a little slow but we were happy to sit and chat.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe love Into The Blue and have been going there for many years for special occasions as it is a wondeful place if you love fish/shellfish. Just recently we have been for Sunday lunch as the choice of menu offers an exellent option if you don't all want to have a roast, though there are roasts available too. The food is always delicious; salt and pepper squid to start, a whole sea bass with a soy sauce and spring onion dressing, simply mouthwatering and paired with their indian pototoes-not be missed. My husband had the monkfish curry and my son choose the bouillabaise. We were so full we could not manage dessert. We are always made to feel so welcome and the service is excellent. This really is a treasured little gem of a restauarant.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe reviewed our last visit when we enjoyed the amazing Suckling Pig, and stated that we would return. We did, yesterday, and it was again superb. It's becoming a habit......
Ancient Grains – EastbourneWent on a Sunday morning as a party of 7 people and we all had excellent breakfast meals and service was great. Not our first visit and won't be our last, would recommend.
Hartfields – UckfieldLovely Sunday meal for a group of eight. Everything was perfectly cooked and served with just the right amount of time between courses. Our server was very attentive without being at all pushy so we were never without anything we could need.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeAbsolutely fabulous lunch at the Globe in Rye for Jo and my 70th birthday. We booked the Hobbyist room upstairs for 12, and it was a perfect venue for family. Being born and bred in Rye, we wanted to celebrate there and definitely chose the best venue. Fabulous food, great service and reasonable prices - we would recommend unreservedly. Thank you Martha and team for a wonderful afternoon xxx
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe come to Rye two or three times a year and we always make a point of The Globe everytime! Food, atmosphere, staff - are all fantastic!!!
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeDelicious generous portions, very friendly staff, good music and a good old pub atmosphere - perfect!
The Denbigh – BexhillI had my first visit to this delightful restaurant on Thursday and will definitely be going back! Absolutely superb food, friendly service and excellent value for money. The oysters were gorgeous and my fish curry utterly delicious!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaCouldn't fault anything! Highly recommend. Everything we ordered was delicious. Vegetarian and chicken dishes enjoyed and the hummus starter was lovely. The service was professional, warm and friendly.
Layla Mezze Grill – RyeWebsite states is very dog friendly, but didn't feel like that when we arrived, even though we had informed them beforehand. It felt like they didn't want dogs, although was given a doggy menu straightaway. Was told we had to sit in the bar area which is fine, but was given a table by the gents and in front of the main door. We saw that another table was free across from us, but was told they were fully booked, that table was empty our whole visit. We all had the roast, meat was very thin, but ok, yorkshire pudding was soggy and inedible. Very disappointing vegetables, but everything was hot. Servers were attentive. But overall experience wasn't good, so unfortunately will not be returning.
