Casalingo Restaurant – Brighton and HoveI went to Nobles last Saturday for dinner with my girlfriend. We had both been looking forward to it all week as had heard some good things. On arrival the restaurant seemed ideal. It was quiet, intimate, modern and had a welcoming atmosphere. That’s where the positives end. The starters took nearly an hour to arrive. The smoked Duck on the specials was good if incredibly small and my girlfriend enjoyed her crab risotto. The main course shortly followed. My girlfriend had ordered the Pheasant, and although very pleasant in taste was barely lukewarm. I had ordered the Fillet Beef, and when asked how I would like it to be prepared, I asked for “rare”. When the meat arrived it was far from rare. So I asked the waitress to change it. After 5 minutes a chef appeared at our table with my dinner in his hand and wanted to know what was wrong with his beef! I replied that I had ordered it rare and in my opinion it wasn’t. To my shock he told me that in his eyes it was perfectly cooked and that he wasn’t prepared to re do it. No alternative was offered or even an apology, it was a case of like it or lump it! At no point in paying my bill was I offered an apology or a reduction from the bill. Nobles clearly has no interest in customer service or ensuring that their customers leave happy and satisfied.
Nobles – BattleSorry not a restaurant that I could recommend. Food was swimmimg in water and the staff could not careless
The Old Polegate Station – PolegateWe were in Hastings for the day and had early dinner in the Black Pearl. I enjoyed the downstairs atmosphere so much that we didn't leave the place at all. It was great for dinner and drinks afterwards, the music was just right and the food was fantastic, even the non-seafood option was delicious. The oysters were very fresh and so was the fish. We will come back again.
Black Pearl – HastingsI can't say how much I enjoy going there - such a welcoming place with good service from friendly staff and real attention to detail. A wide menu - the best pizzas since our trip to Rome - and a great atmosphere. Nothing seems too much trouble - and it's just so relaxing. And excellent value! A real gem.
Trattoria Italiana – BexhillGreat pub, great food, great atmosphere. A nostalgic step back in time.... the food portrays this too, homemade proper meals, filling and enjoyable. Beautifully cooked and served, a varied menu everyday. I will definitely eat there again and highly recommend it

The Dolphin – LittlehamptonLovely restaurant, really good spicy food. Bit on the cramped side but very good service, a real gem of a dinning experience.
Siam Thai Restaurant – Bexhillgreat food, fantastic cocktails and some of the nicest staff in the business. I so often find that good restaurants have waiters that are to far up their own behinds. Nice work and can't wait for the new place to open as it is a local for me
The Ginger Pig – Brighton and HoveWent to The Priory Grill (new name for The Priory Carvery) last Sunday for lunch and was amazed at the place. Such a stunning building for a great meal. Carvery had the usual meats of beef, turkey or gammon on it with a selection of vegetables. Good value for money with starters and deserts available. I was too full from my starter and main course to have desert! Had a look at the weekday Grill menu and will defo be going back for a steak. Tempting offer of a 2 or 3 set menu too..... 8/10
The Priory Bar and Grill – Haywards Heathgastro pub style food at very reasonable prices. I had a whole baked bream (perfectly cooked btw)and with braised gem lettuce and potato gratin for £9. my partner had seafood pie with all manner of fish and crustaceans. fantastic. gonna head down for some of there southdowns lamb this Sunday which I've heard is absolutely great.
The Round Georges – Brighton and HoveReally authentic food! The mezzes were great, the kebab succulent, the atmosphere amazing and the service was good. All in all was worth the trip to Brighton for! I recommend it!

The Swan Restaurant and Bar – CrawleyWe had a lovely meal here just before Christmas. The restaurant has new owners and a great new menu. There is something on it for everyone. I'm Vegetarian and was most impressed to see the veggie options-so much choice!!!(makes a change). My meat eating Husband wasn't disappointed either. The atmosphere is very welcoming too. The waitress couldn't be more helpful and polite. We will definitely be going back again. A great place for an evening meal-give it a try!!!
