Superb Sunday lunch, attentive service. Nothing to fault and everything to praise.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe found the service excellent, particularly for a newly opened establishment, and the staff friendly and attentive. The menu offered a range of options and really suited anyone who enjoys fish/seafood. The dishes were cooked perfectly and we will definitely return to try other choices. If there could be one criticism it would be the wine selection. We enjoyed the French red but found the wine list limited with the red wine options dominated solely by Italian reds which are not everyones choice. Having regularly been under the previous management, we found the change in decor very positive and feel it offers a very cosy atmosphere.
Sailors’ Safety – NewportWe held our wedding at the hotel, the staff and service provided was great, we couldn't have asked for more. All our guests loved the food and atmosphere, thank you for a wonderful day.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportMy second time eating here since the new owners took over and it had a revamp , also excellent. Brought 6 friends for a girls night, everyone was so happy with their food , atmosphere welcoming and generally a great time
Sailors’ Safety – NewportVery tasty food, lovely staff. Would like more fish options- lots of meat dishes.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe had such a special dinner here last night. We were due to eat in the restaurant, but when we saw the pods in the garden, we asked if we could have one of those instead. Fortunately one had just been vacated, so it was hastily cleared and we took our place. Service was very friendly, and the flow of the fire pit and the fairy lights made it feel quite magical. Everything we ordered was top notch, but a special mention for the homemade sourdough with miso butter ~fantastic. Wine pairings with each course were spot on and much enjoyed. We had a great time and would recommend.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportThe food was divine and the service professional and courteous. I will definitely visit again and would recommend this restaurant.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe had lunch. It was good! Two of us ordered hake, the third cod and chips. Chef bought out the food, seeing that we hadn’t ordered any potato/chips with our hake, let us order some chips which were produced very quickly. The hake was succulent! Chips were homemade and double dipped, with sea salt flakes, spot on. The chocolate brownie sweet is also lovely. Serving staff still being trained but were polite, helpful. Yes I can tell they are newly opened but think this team had a baptism of fire, opening late in peak season and have a feeling that the minor teething problems will pay dividends. So, food excellent, kitchen service and chef excellent! Good luck to them all and we will be back through the winter!
Sailors’ Safety – NewportI had a fantastic meal with my family at The Copper Pot. I have been here numerous times over the years. Excellent service and a delicious 3 course meal. My favourite place to eat in Cardigan.
The Copper Pot – CardiganAs always excellent food and service.

Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportYummy food, big portions and very friendly and efficient service - my only complaint is that we were too full for dessert...lol. We both had the ribs - delicious - and we shared the chicken as a starter. I would highly recommend The Copper Pot.
The Copper Pot – CardiganThis was our first visit and will not be our last. The quality of the food , service and setting will bring us back when ever we want to treat ourselves. We are frequent visitors to Trefdraith but surprisingly had not discovered the a hidden gem that is Llys Meddyg
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWhat a find this little food and drink jewel is, enjoy!
Sailors’ Safety – NewportWe really enjoyed our recent lunchtime visit to this rejuvenated old favourite of ours. Having just walked round Dinas Head we really appreciated the warm welcome we received from the member of staff running the restaurant. We were a party of 8 and had a dog with us and so (as expected) our table was in the bar area. It was a sunny day so we asked to sit outside and the waitress could not have been more helpful in assisting us to find a table with enough space in the beer garden. The food arrived in good time and was of a high quality - the fish and chips being quite exceptional. The only downside to our visit was the queue for the bar. Once seated two members of our party went to buy drinks and order our food. They were waiting in line for at least 10, possibly 15 minutes. This felt like a long time, but once ordered, the food did arrive quite quickly. All in all a great experience in a beautiful location and very attractive venue. It was a very busy weekend lunch time so the wait at the bar was perhaps understandable. It’s early days in this new venture and the ‘upgrade’ is much appreciated. We look forward to many future return visits and to recommending your restaurant to guests staying in our holiday cottage.
Sailors’ Safety – NewportWe’re locals so really want this fantastic location to work! The food is very good. The first time we went the pub had only just reopened so we could forgive slightly chaotic service but the second time it was really hopeless. We were on a booked table right under the music speaker - I asked for the volume to be turned down but the bar staff didn’t know the passcode for the music system. Twice I had to retrieve our drinks that were sitting on the bar, because the waitresses were nowhere to be seen. No salt or pepper or other condiments on the table or offered until we asked. The two new waiting staff were drifting about without any direction. Some more mature staff who are able to meet and chat a bit would be a real advantage. We will be back because we live here, it would be nice to see some more experienced staff. Thanks to Tom for giving us a round of drinks for free. This review is given in what I hope is a constructive way.
Sailors’ Safety – NewportWe had a sensational meal - special mention for the delicious vegetables.
