Excellent dinner in a beautiful romantic place. Lamb was stunning, crab rosti too and the aubergine was delectable. Amazing atmosphere and lovely staff!

Lovely time with friends . The sandwiches were delicious and filled generously. Really enjoyed . Scones were ok little bit dry . Cakes to take home as we were full . Lovely selection of cakes . Staff really helpful

Great food in a wonderful location. So good that the new management have created a lovely experience for all visiting. Very good ingredients and so well cooked. We sat inside on a Friday lunch with lots of folks inside and outside too. Interesting that they have 2 menus - one for inside and one for outside. Very friendly staff and the whole experience was really positive, especially after the last management hardly ever opened. My only criticism is the lag of pepper grinders. I suggest they get hold of some for the guests.

Never stayed before or visited the area. Comfortable room facing the road, everything we needed was provided. Staff excellent, friendly and well trained. Breakfasts were lovely, but the evening dinners were truly exceptional, so much so that we went to the kitchen to thank the two chefs. Superb sauces, and some of the best food I have ever eaten. Two nights in a row. Well done the crew ! And the Management.

Amazing afternoon tea here for my mums birthday. Super friendly and catered for vegetarian/vegan. Food was lovely and they even put a candle in one of my mums cakes for her at the end - super sweet and highly recommend :)

The most wonderful night in the Secret Garden, service and food were exceptional. We would recommend it fully.

A enjoyable evening. The surroundings are quirky and interesting. Staff were welcoming and efficient despite the fact that several small groups of people arrived at the same time, without having booked, and all had food in front of them within a very reasonable amount of time. We thoroughly enjoyed the generous portion of sourdough bread (fortunately there was still enough left after removing all the burnt bits.). The main course portions are small and do not include vegetables, which need to be ordered as extras. We would have preferred a basic selection of veg to be included, with optional extras of the more unusual items offered such as corn on the cob. The Summer salad was a great option with its delicious dressing and crispy chick peas. One of us had the chocolate tart and enjoyed it very much.

Excellent meal and great service, really fun place for dinner, and dog friendly as well, it is good to find somewhere we can take our dogs and still enjoy good cooking and great atmosphere rather than having to settle for just a pub meal as we have our dogs with us.

My mum and I visited last Saturday for afternoon tea and we both said it was the best we’ve had so far. Everything we had was homemade and was delicious! I cant remember the lady who served us but she was really lovely and helpful too. We will be back!

Excellent meal, staff were accommodating to changes to menu to meet preferences. The setting is fabulous and the restaurant and bar have been renovated with imagination and sympathy to make a lovely surrounding to complement the sea view. The menu is out of the ordinary and not typical pub grub. Highly recommend
