Recently returned to Bacchus for a wedding anniversary meal with my wife. Fabulous evening, the meal was first class, the food and its presentation is second to none in the area. As always, impeccable service, from Mike and the team, thanks particularly to Stuart and Steve also - they made it feel special. Highly recommended, we are definitely returning for a lunch soon!! We have been many times and the food is always excellent - this time was the same except the beef was slightly too rare for us and the gravy way too salty I notice other people on different tables had left it. We were overall very pleased with our meals

Never fails to be fantastic, staff amazing. Food beautiful, well presented and delicious. The barmaid was fabulous, efficient, helpful and accommodating. The pub was a little chilly on this vist, but previous visits have been cosy ad warm.

Second visit in recent weeks - very impressed again with the food. Nobody had any complaints, and Alvanley Arms remains one of those places you book knowing that you won’t be disappointed. My husband says it’s one of the best mixed grills he’s ever had. Fish and chips was lovely as always. Kids loved theirs too. The apricot and lavender tart is one of the best desserts I’ve eaten anywhere. Seems to be a hidden gem as it’s never been overly busy when we’ve been in. Fantastic food, lovely venue, highly recommend.

Nice surroundings, loud music, ribs for starter were very dry/tough, Haloumi nice, Sea Bass main was nice but poor veg/potato to go with, Stuffed Aubergine was poor ... I go out to experience better than I cook at home but not the case this time. Maybe an off night
