Another enjoyable meal. Excellent food served by efficient, friendly staff.

As usual the meal was good served in a pleasant atmosphere. Music was a little loud and , please note, mint tea is NOT ordinary tea with a few mint leaves on. Better to serve hot water on mint leaves alone.

Outstanding service, food, and welcome. First visit, but have already recommended to others. Will definitely return.

The food was lovely, but we were told there was no roasts left, but people who arrived after us were told there was, so we were abit disappointed.

Staff were lovely and attentive but food was very poor. It was really low quality for what I’d expect from such an expensive place, did not seem fresh and all microwaved. We also we on a cramped table, we had to keep moving to let the table out behind us, so not a great atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend

First time we have had a chance to visit here in a few years. Food and service was still great, friendly staff and the food appeared quickly but still seemed to be cooked fresh. . Generous portions and reasonably priced.

Excellent service and food was delicious seafood claypot was my main and I can honestly say it was delicious the prawns were juicy and full of flavour cooker to perfection and although in a tomato based sauce the white fish and muscles were not overpowered at all again all the food was perfect my husband had the kebab which he thoroughly enjoyed. I would also like to say the French martini was perfect. We will be back for more soon.

Great food, but it was a Saturday night and the noise was intolerable - time to get an acoustic engineer in to advise a few changes.

First time visit,won't be the last.service and food was excellent. Can't wait to visit again.

Booked for a birthday treat for my wife, As we have found on previous visits we were welcomed warmly, the food was superb as usual and finished off with decadent fudge chocolate cake, in all a memorable evening for us, sadly it was a quiet night in the restaurant but we will certainly be be booking again.

Had a fantastic meal this evening at The Cock, Henbury for myself, my wife & our 2 children. The Bacon, Brie & Cranbery Panini with chips was fresh, piping hot & incredibly tasty. The salad was perfectly chilled & fresh & the balsamic vinegar drizzled on top complemented the salad perfectly. My son loved his kids burger & chips so much he kept taking photos of it for his social media & he ate the lot! My daughter loved her Tuna Melt too & my wife who never finishes her food actually ate all of her burger & fries & really enjoyed it too. We all had the delicious Salted Caramel Cheesecake for dessert which again, ended with empty plates. My kids rated the whole evening 100/10 which is high praise indeed from the fussy little monkeys. The beer was also perfectly chilled & tasty. Apart from the food being of such a very high standard & good value, it’s really important to point out just how amazing all the staff here are. Attentive, friendly, no waiting for someone to come over & clear the plates or take orders. They were there just when you needed them & gave service with a big smile. Lovely people. We are so very lucky to have The Cock, Henbury so close to home & to have it reopen with great food, great drink & impeccable service from a very strong team. We will return again very soon, can’t wait!
