Helter Skelter – FrodshamVisited for Sunday lunch and the food was delicious. Very generous portion of perfectly cooked rare roast beef, with lovely gravy and fresh vegetables. The staff were all very pleasant and I felt very safe with their COVD safety measures in place. Highly recommended and I will be returning very soon
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortOrdered drinks. Wrong drinks. Got changed. Still wrong drinks ! On menu said Peroni it was Heineken ! Wasn’t overly impressed sorry
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterAbsolutely brilliant we have eaten here a few times and the quality is amazing. Staff are all very friendly and professional and helpful. Would totally recommend visiting.
Sabrosa – OxtonMy boyfriend and I visited for the first time and we’ll definitely be returning. The service was great and the food was delicious and well presented. The portions are quite large so I would recommend starting with 2 tapas per person and ordering more if you’re still hungry! The seafood paella and baked goats cheese with walnuts & honey were our 2 favourite dishes by far. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Sabrosa – OxtonThe best restaurant in Lymm, hands down! Great service, great food, tremendous atmosphere and unbeatable value for money. And the seafood pizza is awesome!
Elmas Restaurant – LymmFabulous food just too loud.
Purple Pakora – MarpleAlways a marvellous place to eat with great friendly service, a calm and enjoyable setting and fantastic food! Will always recommend
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldWe have eaten here several times & it is always lovely. This was the first time post lockdown & we felt safe & there was social distancing. Food was fresh and delicious with great service. Will go back.
Sabrosa – OxtonWe booked a table after wondering for 3 years what it was like as only living a mile up the road! The waitresses were very polite and courteous, and after agonising over what to choose from a great menu, we ordered 2 courses each. Food was absolutely fantastic, piping hot and great portions. We will certainly be back very soon. Well done to all for distancing measures also, we felt very safe!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortHighly recommend this place. Excellent food, friendly atmosphere and very efficient service.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortExcellent food and service, will definitely book again.
Purple Pakora – MarpleWe reserved a table in the Secret Garden area of the TownHouse and enjoyed the drinks we had there with our friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with deck chairs and tables dotted around. There were however a few issues with our visit that we would like to point out. 1. Upon arriving (and prior on Instagram) we were informed by the staff and signs on the tables that we should use the app to order drinks. We were fine with this and on the app you can buy £10 credit with £5, so that was a bonus. However the app then didn’t allow us to order. We spoke to one of the waiting on staff, who then proceeded to tell us the app hadn’t been set up properly to allow ordering and payment through it. We were told we could use the credit we had purchased on the tab ordered at the table so we didn’t think this was a problem. However when we came to pay the bill, no one had authorisation to allow us to use the credit. So we all have credit on the app that we can’t use. It wouldn’t be a problem if we had taken it upon ourselves to use the app, but we were actually told by staff and signs on the table to use it and then told 5 minutes later that it wasn’t working. I think that’s at best is poor training and at worst is actively misleading or miss selling, telling customers to add credit, knowing they couldn’t use it at that visit. This then is forcing customers to return to use the credit. 2. The other issue we had was the lack of facilities to change a baby, I understand that bars are not really child friendly places but this is a restaurant and hotel that has been open for many years and to not even have a flip down bench in either the girls or men’s toilets is poor in today’s world. I had to change the baby in an office on a desk, which wasn’t ideal. Although there were a few teething issues with the app and the lack of changing facilities, the staff made us feel very welcome and were attentive and the service was efficient. Even if we didn’t have a credit left over on the app, we would still be returning.
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterAmazing!
Sabrosa – OxtonFour of us enjoyed a lovely meal here at the weekend. Staff kindly accommodated a change in the time of our booking after I made a mistake when booking online. We were served generous portions of freshly made tasty tapas, with plenty of choice on the menu. I'm told the standard of the tapas can be set by the croquetas, and those here were very good. Lots of attention to being Covid-safe. Professional, kind, welcoming staff. Another addition to the good places to eat and drink in Oxton. Will be happy to return.
Sabrosa – OxtonClub sandwich was lovely. Skinny fries tasted quite oily but was only me that thought so out of our party. Good service. Little slow given how quiet it was in there but waitress was nice. Social distancing processes in place although was very quiet anyway. Portion sizes really good.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortWe enjoyed afternoon tea in the secret garden which was lovely as the weather was so sunny. Food was lovely; afternoon tea included finger sandwiches, mini bagel and wrap with scones and cakes. Coffee was offered on frequent basis. Staff were really friendly and helpful. On the table there was a request for drinks to be ordered with a qr code; ive used others before but this was tiresome. Some of the staff said" don't bother and they took order" .
The Townhouse & Secret Garden – ChesterMy husband Doug and I booked into the Yeoman on Saturday 12th September, and had a fantastic meal. We both chose the fillet steak, which was so juicy and tender, then I had crackers & cheese for desert, which was an extremely generous portion and a great selection of cheese. Doug had the Apple & Berry crumble, which he was still praising the next day. Emily and her team are very welcoming and are keen to make your visit enjoyable.
