My wife and I came to Mere Court for afternoon tea on Friday 8th August. This was to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. We were greeted warmly and shown into the dining room . Our afternoon tea was very nice in a relaxed environment. The whole experience was most enjoyable Many thanks to Peter and the team.

Food was good and well presented. Very good value. Loved the fact petit fours were included with coffee - that doesn’t happen often. Enjoyed it so much going back next week.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldGreat choices on menu with something for everyone. Food delicious. Plenty of it and cooked really well. Excellent wine. Great prices. Service a little slow but we weren’t in a rush so it didn’t matter. Decor dated but clean. Restaurant doesn’t look anything on the outside but well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back.

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldSix of us ate there yesterday.The food was good but the service was awful. The pub was not busy ,the 2 girls serving were unwelcoming and surly. I do like people to be pleasant especially when taking peoples money ! The Hanging Gate at Weaverham,same stable,is always a joy to eat at.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyHad such a lovely afternoon tea at Mere Court. We did have a dietary requirement and was so nice the chef rang to discuss best options. Our waitress was Maria (hope I’ve got this right) and she was always smiling and checking to see if we needed anything. Grounds are lovely to walk around which helped to work off the beautiful scones …. Warm and yummy. Nice you could have as much tea and coffee as you wanted so thumbs up there too. Thank you Mere Court for making my sisters 60th a special one.
