Food nice, service efficient. Moderate prices, scallop dish small portion for cost of £13.00 but overall food was good. Nice wine menu too.

Lovely food as always. Very friendly girls. Definitely the place to go in Carlisle for an authentic Italian meal at reasonable prices.

The food at the Glen Rothay Badger Bar is absolutely amazing. HUGE portions, fantastic choice. Have the Chicken Supreme if you can!

We were in the Lakes for our anniversary, and chose the restaurant based on existing reviews. It truly lived up to its reputation. The food was lovely, a nice range of choices and the deserts were also unusual and tasty, not too sweet on top of the other great courses. We were pleased to see, as we were leaving, how busy it was, but we hardly noticed it fill up. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely evening, thank you.

Thoroughly Enjoyed. Ate here as a couple in July 2024. The food, service and drinks were all amazing. My husband asked for the Thai curry with added chicken and they were happy to oblige. He said it was the best he’d ever eaten. Wine freezing, lots of gins to choose from. Lovely corner table. Highly recommended.

We visited the Wheatsheaf after booking a table online. We received a warm welcome & shown to our table. We asked to move table as we were meeting friends & preferred to sit nearer to them. Nothing was too much trouble. Our order was taken, drinks delivered to the table & our food followed. Great service, tasty food & reasonably priced. Will be returning soon to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here on Thurs. We had Lamb and Chicken both were really good and plentiful. My Lamb was cooked exactly as I requested. Service eas efficient and relaxed. Thanks for a lovely evening.
