Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe went here for my Mums Birthday. The food was fabulous! We each had a different type of pie (fish, steak, chicken). Great portion sizes and very tasty! The pub was full which made it a great atmosphere. All staff were very welcoming. We will be visiting again definitely!

Kings Arms – UlverstonHad an excellent time at the Wheatsheaf last Saturday evening (21st.) with our Son and his Partner. We all loved the friendly relaxed atmosphere in this attractive 17th. century inn. The service was welcoming, friendly and cheerful. There was plenty of choice with a specials list and my wife, who is a vegetarian was well catered for. There is a good range of drinks, my Son enjoyed the draught Belgian beer and I enjoyed one of the local real ales on offer which was very well kept. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food (the fish was outstanding) and we look forward to returning. We live locally and have visited the Wheatsheaf several times and know that it always maintains its high standards of food, service and welcome.
