Another fantastic meal and great staff very attentive still great priced
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe went for lunch and the place was so quaint, just the way we like it, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I had the steak pie and the portion I had was so filling and tasty. My wife had scampi and again large portion and very tasty. It's dog friendly as well in the bar area again just the way we like things. Overall a great experience and would recommend a visit if your in the Kewsick area.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely wholesome and well cooked food in a traditional Lakeland pub. Such a shame that the service was rushed, rude, abrupt and unwelcoming. I have also rarely seen a filthier carpet. The service, decor and cleanliness need huge focus in order to match the quality of the food. Everything felt tired and worn; thank goodness the food was good quality. Also, the only time I have ever eaten out in 30 years to not be able to order a starter due to staff shortage
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSpent a pleasant evening and had a great meal. Helpful staff and quick service.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely prompt friendly service and felt very welcoming especially with our dogs Nice lunch too
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeTables too close together, waitress could barely get through to the corner table. Would be nice to be shown to our table instead of being pointed out from behind the bar. Too much gossiping behind the bar. Food ok, needs some seasoning. Would have liked a dessert but because of the above we just didnt enjoy the experience. Our waitress was efficient and professional.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereDinner for my wife’s birthday - on a Wednesday so it was fairly quiet. Food was superb - 3 courses & drinks & tip circa £100. Worth every penny. Service friendly but not intrusive. I have a food intolerance to onion - no problem for this chef - he adapted dishes to work for me. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithDinner for my wife’s birthday - on a Wednesday in October so it was fairly quiet. Food was superb - 3 courses & drinks & tip circa £100. Worth every penny. Service from Heather was friendly but not intrusive. I have a food intolerance to onion - no problem for this chef - he adapted dishes to work for me. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithExcellent food customer service and atmosphere
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOne of our favourite restaurants in Carlisle. Great staff and the food never disappoints.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleOne of my favourite Italians to eat at....food is always first class, lovely atmosphere in the place and the staff are welcoming and very pleasant. Keep up the high standards Team La Mezzaluna!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely food and a warm welcome as usual
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickI thought the whole experience lacked refinement.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby Stephenexcellent home cooked food probably one of the best meals ive had for a long time quality food and generous portions great service too from the friendly staff
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Pheasant on 2nd October. It's a popular, friendly, homely, roadside inn. We ate in the bar as we had two collies with us. They were made very welcome. Food was excellent, helpings generous, everything cooked to perfection.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhat can I say was originally recommended the Pheasant, but now I recommend, ,was busy when we arrived ,but the staff still had time for us ,food as always amazing good quality our only disappointment was no molten chocolate pudding Won't stop us coming back Well done to all the staff
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood lovely and great value, good selection of drinks although little choice of lager. Very good service considering there was 8 of us dining there again. Looking forward to going again and will book online to ensure we get a table.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickI’m Coeliac and had best biggest fish in such light batter amazing homemade chips. The starter of shrimp with GF toast was beautiful. Too full for dessert but there were GF options. Went in the evening and it was a beautiful relaxed feel with the candles and not close to other tables. A lovely night with my other half. He had a great meal too. Decent prices too. Highly recommend.
