Absolutely fantastic Sunday Lunch. Food really good quality and value for money. Friendly atmosphere and excellent service.

Maybe the best Yorkshire puddings I’ve tasted. Love that Sunday lunch comes in two sizes. But best of all is the staff service - polite, friendly, chatty and helpful despite being very busy in this popular pub.

Really enjoyed our afternoon tea at the castle!

Excellent food and service

Love The Wheatsheaf! We went with friends and had a super meal - Roberto soup and venison stew, both delicious as well as the tasty lentil dahl curry. Friendly, efficient service and a lovely atmosphere.

We ordered the fillet steak and lamb. The food was cooked nice but the whole meal was barely warm apart from the chips. The plates were not warmed either. We returned our food and side of order of vegetables to be warmed but it came back again barely warmed. The side order was forgotten which we had to remind the staff to bring. We ate the food and ordered the cheese board which was lovely. After the food was returned no real apology was made and it felt very awkward. We felt unable to complain a second time. No complaints about the quality of food but it should be served at least piping hot. Also sat by the window was cold especially as people entered and left the building. Also no gestures of good will made to compensate our spoiled anniversary meal. I would not return.

We had a lovely meal and such a great choice of menu. Restaurant was vibrant and staff were superb and very attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a good Italian experience and value for money. Best Italian in Carlisle.

Well presented afternoon tea in a stunning location with helpful and friendly staff had a lovely time .

All I can say from arriving for the weekend going to the spa and the evening meal the whole experience was wonderful, Afternoon tea perfrect thank you.

We enjoyed a wonderful three course dinner at Augill Castle - the menu was interesting, curated and just delicious. The beef daube was a particular highlight and the staff were so attentive and friendly . Would highly recommend!

Very nice cosy restaurant and very busy, certainly when we were there. The menu has a set number of starters, mains and desserts and doesn't appear to vary too much. We both enjoyed our meals despite one of us being given the wrong main meal it was only a couple of minutes before it was rectified. We were asked a second time to pay the bill when the bill had already been paid a couple of minutes earlier. That said the staff were very pleasant and engaging and the food was excellent. Whilst they do accept walk ins I would strongly suggest that a table is pre booked.

We had a lovely meal yesterday evening - can especially recommend the fillet steak and cheeseboard. Overall the bill was pricey for us at just under £200 for 4 people including starters and dessert - but the quality and quantity (plenty but not ridiculous) of everything was we feel reflected fairly in the price that we paid. Would not hesitate to go back on our next visit to the area.

As vegetarians we were delighted to find a vegan restaurant in Keswick, and even more delighted to find that it was an excellent vegan restaurant. Our meals were imaginative and delicious and it felt so much more of a treat than having to put up with the usual veggie fare in mainstream venues. Wonderful cooking and a friendly personal service. What's not to like?

Had lunch here yesterday. Very welcoming, great food and even better service. Will definitely be back
