One meal was good, the other not value for money as very little meat on the chops. Staff did not appear bothered when this was mentioned. Starters were ok but prawns were almost too spicy to eat!

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAs always, visited The Pheasant. As always, you need to book as it is always busy. You don’t need a degree to work out why. Great choice of good beers, even better choice of great food at a reasonable price. Bear with the staff, they are lovely and rushed off their feet. We ate there twice this week. As good as ever. Keswick’s worst kept secret. Thanks to everyone, again. See you next year as normal.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat food, lots of choices, well presented, Served by friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat meal. Big helpings and value for money. Waiting staff excellent and very helpful.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickAmazing food and a lovely cozy friendly atmosphere, a lovely place to end a busy day.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAll in all a really good experience, nice vibe, good service I wasn't too blown away with my starter but the Sea Bass main course was a lovely plate of food I could have licked the plate, shared a cheeseboard instead of dessert and choice of cheeses was really good. Best meal so far of the week for us in Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat welcoming service in a traditional Lakeland pub and lovely food. Our friend has a gluten allergy so we were able to order food which suited her. Would definitely return if in the area. Top marks.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat food in a lively atmosphere. All the pub favourites plus some special dishes. Loved the Venison.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWent for a meal on Monday 3rd October. The service was second to none, the food was great and reasonably priced. We felt really comfortable and were served in a reasonable time despite the place being busy. We will definitely be back.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickBrilliant place, wish it was near my home !!!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe have eaten Sunday lunches at the Wheatsheaf on several occasions recently and really enjoy them. We find the food excellent both quality and value, the staff are lovely and the ambience in the dining/pub areas is perfect.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a lovely Sunday lunch. I chose the small portion which was more than adequate while the male members of our party had a regular portion. The food was nicely cooked. I particularly enjoyed the vegetables which were cooked ‘just right’. All the staff were very pleasant. My only criticism would be the side room lacked the atmosphere of the main bar.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and service. Thank you.
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickI went to the spa and had some light lunch after - absolutely loved the whole experience
The Netherwood Hotel and Spa – Grange-over-SandsFantatstic, accommodating staff. Very helpful. Food was delicious and supported by wonderful pints of Jennings Cumberland Ale. A real find just outside of the centre of Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickA really nice cosy place to eat, although it’s small you don’t feel on top of each other, food was exceptional, freshly prepared and very tasty, scallops were divine, and I’m not sure how the carrots were done but for me they were the star of the show! I had forgotten to ask on my departure how they were cooked, so maybe on reading this review perhaps you would respond? Delightful experience thank you very much to all involved .
