Booked on line , received confirmation e-mail ( booking a must) Received a warm welcome , they appeared very busy and only 3 staff but they were very pleasant and efficient. No starters being served due to lack of staff , but our main courses were very generous .my hubby had Cumberland sausage and mash and l had the fabulous fish pie- no room for dessert- shame Would have no hesitation returning to The Pheasant

Had to wait an hour for food to arrive. I realise that there are staffing problems but……..

This meal was terrible. Ordered venison buorgunion and the meat was cold. Ordered Ribeye steak medium rare and the steak was barely cooked on 1 side. Inedible. We conplained and were told they were sorry but there's your bill. £50 for a meal that was discussing.

Had a delicious meal at the Pheasant inn. The service was excellent, staff were very pleasant. I would highly recommend the Pheasant Inn.

Loved every minute of it, from the warm welcome and cosy atmosphere, to the amazing choices and beautiful food and drinks we eventually chose. I’ve been veggie for 42 years and my husband vegan for longer and it was a great discovery and unfortunate we didn’t know about this place earlier. Definitely coming back.

Great night out. Meal and service excellent

An impromptu visit to Grasmere and we booked a table at Lewis’s Bistro and we were glad we did. The small restaurant is well organised with an early and late sitting resulting in a relaxed service. Dining is informal so you can call in straight from a day on the fells and is dog friendly. The menu was varied with dishes well cooked and presented well. The wine list is good at a reasonable price point. We will definitely return in the future.

I’ve came here for many years with my wife and we’ve always enjoyed it. It’s our favourite Italian. The staff are so accommodating and friendly and you know the food is always going to be fantastic.

We were treated to afternoon tea by my niece and weren’t disappointed. We were warmly greeted and led into the lounge where a welcoming fire awaited us. The food was delicious, we particularly liked the fluffy warm scones with clotted cream and jam!

We came for afternoon tea, with bubbles, our first visit to Augill Castle, and celebrating my 70th Birthday and our 35th Wedding Anniversary. We will be back. We were warmly greeted, the venue and the service were wonderful, and the afternoon tea was imaginative and very special. Thank you

Fantastic afternoon tea - was a gift on red letter days and definitely worth it. We never knew this castle existed and have passed the road it is on many times. We took both our dogs and they were very dog friendly - great way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Would highly recommend. The food was delicious 5*. Starters, Mains and Desserts couldn’t fault anything. Lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely return. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Always great food. When in Keswick or nearby, we always make sure we eat there. Great value for money!
