My wife and I ate at the Pheasant Inn on the 20th December 2022, we arrived at about 19.20 for a reserved table at 19.30. We were pleasantly met and guided to our table in the dining room. I had the Venison Bourginion and my wife the Scampi, both were of good quality, hot and tasty. Would recommend.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad a fantastic meal at La Mezzaluna last night. Food is always red hot and extremely tasty, we even ordered a dessert of raspberries, with meringue, raspberry sorbet and cream....it was so nice and very refreshing. Staff are attentive and friendly.

We both had the Roast Beef which was priced on average with other dining establishments in the area. Service was excellent but the meal was spoiled due to the plates being cold and as a result the meal went very cold quickly. Mentioned this to the waitress who suggested that I should have mentioned this sooner so that they could have reheated the meal I assume by using a microwave but my experience of reheating food in a microwave has not been to my satisfaction. We have been to the Wheatsheaf many times as it is very local to where we live and never had any reason to complain before but this time (which I'm sure was a one off) the cold plates resulting in the food going cold quickly was unfortunate. This experience will not put us off going again and I'm sure that this was an isolated case but certainly worth mentioning in a review.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe booked a table for two to celebrate a birthday as we had several people recommend the restaurant to us and even though we have passed the premises in the car hundreds of times it often goes unnoticed. The website looked good and the booking procedure was straight forward. We were welcomed by very pleasant and attentive staff who made us feel as welcome as the interior was warm and friendly. The menu is uncomplicated yet attractively descriptive and simple to understand with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts.
