Tapios – WindermereJust tried to book for a meal. Says dogs allowed on website, but they are not allowed while food is being served. So we did not book.
Crown Inn – PenrithFantastic decor, well laid out, very clean and staff very welcoming. Good choice of food and drinks. Unfortunately when saying 'Goodbye and thanks' on exit, no member of staff acknowledged it.
Pillar House – KeswickWhat a find! A gorgeous country pub hidden away with great food and service. A notch above most pubs and one I would heartily recommend to others!

Fig Tree Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessLove the pheasant. Didn't stay this time just popped in for lunch in the bistro. Great food and service in a spot that I hope never changes.

Dodds Restaurant – AmblesideArrived shortly before closing but received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table. Very prompt and attentive service. Excellent food, great value for money. Staff were very courteous and we weren't rushed even though it was getting late.Would visit again if staying in Penrith.
Raj Exsuisite Cuisine – PenrithPoor pub,no warning signs about lit candles on window ledge,and this burnt my 150 pound jacket,and all I got has a apology was the shops had a sale on. Iwas lucky this was just my jacket but god for bid if this was a child this could of been really nasty.
