Bosuns Locker Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessGreat place great food great staff, we all had a fantastic evening
Lynebank House – Hotel & Restaurant – CarlisleWhen we went to book a table for two hours time, the waitress seemed totally stressed out and disinterested in us and we wondered whether we'd made a mistake. However because it looked so enticing from outside we took our table for 2. Things had calmed down, the candles had been lit and the service seemed more under control. The food was lovely, especially the starter, although the main and desserts were not exceptional. Small additions to the menu by Lucy herself added alot of fun and character to the experience. It feels like you're dining in a warm and homely atmosphere. In fact it was so good we returned there the 2nd night, mainly cos the other restaurants in Ambleside were either closed or didn't look as inviting. I'm hoping to return oneday and try the cookery course!
Lucy’s On A Plate – AmblesideGreat place great food great staff, we all had a fantastic evening
Lynebank House – Hotel & Restaurant – CarlisleAt last a touch of class for Barrow, great bar menu with excellent food for very little money. Congrats to the interior designers the place looks lovely, only trouble is you don't want to leave even though the drinks are expensive you feel prepared to pay the price.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessReally good lunch here. We work at the Town Hall and had an excellent meal on Thursday. Delicious and obviously home made. I like it here a lot and would recommend it to people looking for a touch of class in Barrow.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessTHE best curry house in Keswick. Staff are fab, very welcoming. Loads of choice on the menu and food is out of this world. Advisable to book in the summer months and at weekends. try it if your in town. you wont regret it!
Lakeland Spice – KeswickI have been a customer in the Vic for a few years along with many of my friends lvy and family. there is a great friendly atmosphere. The person responsible for the last comment needs to take a good hard look at why he will have been refused. the landlord and landlady are very fair when refusing to serve someone. they would have had a very good reason not to serve them whatever it may have been. i would recommend this pub to anyone and everyone from the young to the old!! fantastic!!
Victoria Tavern The – Barrow-in-FurnessVery good yummy food for a great price
Salvanas – Barrow-in-FurnessWhen we asked my parents where they would like to spend their Golden Wedding Anniversary, they Said only one place would do, Beswicks We have been many times, and every time you are made to feel so very special. David looked after us in his usual caring and considerate manner, and nothing was any trouble to him or his team. We had a memorable evening, and my parents will never forget it. Thanks so much, and for any one out there, who has not yet tried the Beswicks experience, try it, you definitely will not be disappointed. Peter Holland and family
Beswicks Restaurant – Broughton-in-FurnessLovely food, nice building and atmosphere. Best garlic bread in town!
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleWe had a lovely meal at the British Raj at the weekend, and we were very impressed. The service was friendly and efficient, and the selection of dishes is outstanding. The food was very well presented, and tasted superb. We were very impressed with the meal, and also how reasonable it all was. I wish the team every success. Mary and Pete
British Raj The – UlverstonFood sucks but the barmen are absolutely Amazing, Adam and Adam combine to make one of the more spectacular drinking venues around Cumbria. The only place I have been so far that stirs Martini's.
Unit Lux Bar – CarlisleOnce again we have dined out at Beswicks and as ever, we are never disappointed. We will recommend it every time. We do visit other restaurants and always come back here because we know we can guarantee service with excellent food. Joyce and family
Beswicks Restaurant – Broughton-in-FurnessWe visited francines for the first time last May and was very impressed. When we returned to the lakes again at February half term we knew we had to go again but this time we wanted to go in the evening. We were certainly not disappointed. The food was superb extremely well presented and totally faultless, needless to say we went back for lunch two days later again tremendous, oh and we took back home to Bolton two massive pieces of carrot cake. We certainly wont hesitate to make the hours journey when we go out for lunch or dinner its well worth the ride. A must for all food lovers.
