La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAllways food at its best , great ser ice will be back
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAn outstanding restaurant with food and staff to match. We booked here while visiting the Lakes for my wife’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Fine dining done exceptionally well. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish beautifully presented and full of flavour. The pork belly and Eccles cakes were superb, and the seabass was simply amazing. Every plate impressed. The staff were equally excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. We all agreed it was the nicest meal we’ve had out in quite some time. A truly memorable food experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe were looking for a dog friendly pub to have lunch on way back home after a holiday but off the motorway. Perfect pub for lunch, friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, and lovely choice from menus.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithWe thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sage and Vine from the first to last minute. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. I could not recommend this place more!
Sage and Vine – CarlisleWe have eaten at the Pheasant many times. Always good food and plenty of it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's always the first choice for us.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe looked forward to dining here but there was a technical hitch in the kitchen which admittedly can happen anywhere. After ordering then waiting over an hour for our food we were offered complimentary nibbles which were very nice, thank you. We both ordered the lamb rump but unfortunately when it did arrive it was tough and very disappointing, certainly not worth the money.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereHaving book a table for 6 people on the 17th June 2025. The gent who was serving drinks and booking you to be very rude it was like it was to much trouble. Having orderd our food it was a long weight for it to arrive and it was not that good. Some of us orderd puddings. I orderd a strawberry sundae and all it was strawberry ice cream with a bit of cream on top. The other puddings were apple crumble and there was that much butter in the crumble it was running everywhere in the dish. When we tryed to get another drink the barmen was to busy having a laugh and joke with his friends in the bar. Having used this pub the year before where we found it to be very good we where very disappointed in the service we received and the quality of the food served to us. How it is run now we would not recommend anybody to go here. Very disappointed customer
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsThe food was amazing and the staff were so helpful with my in laws as they were both vegan we will definitely come again if we are up this way

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAlways a treat to eat at Lewis's. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Good choices for GF. Speed of service judged perfectly and prices on a par with other local restaurants.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWonderful food and service as always and a great atmosphere
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAbsolutely lovely meal. Very good quality delicious food, excellent wine and prompt and welcoming service. A really lovely evening thank you.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleHad a lovely meal first time we went last week so decided to go again. Unfortunately that was not good, husband order a starter of soup with bread, we also ordered mains at the same time. The soup was nice but the bread had mold on it, he had already eaten one piece before he noticed. I told the guy(owner I think) he just looked and took it away, no apology or anything, I told him we didn't want the mains and paid for the drinks before leaving. There was no kind of acknowledgement, apology, remorse. He just wasn't bothered, hence to say not going again
