Great place and fantastic steaks. Pre theatre dining at its best. Service, food and choice of beers all first class. Do not be disappointed make sure you book. Deserts looked lovely that were coming out but we could not manage one. Walking distance to the Buxton Opera House. Would thoroughly recommend.

First time in this lovely restaurant. We had gone early before the theatre. Food excellent. Good choice and good portion size. Service a little slow.

From a friend’s recommendation we dined at Baileys bar, food was lovely we both had rib eye steak cooked as requested and was delicious, the service is good, not too long to wait between starter and main, served with drinks in between. Entertainment followed the meal and we stayed at the table to conclude the evening, the atmosphere was brilliant, a relaxing enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend to anyone. Enjoy.

We had a lovely breakfast, beautiful fresh produce with attentive staff. Our only negative observation, while I am a dog lover, we did observe a young lady allow a dog to jump up her apron, she petted the small dog and returned to service without washing her hands. This did put me off, as it is basic hygiene.

We went for afternoon tea for my family hen do and it was fantastic! They decorated the table up for the occasion and no request was too small. Our server Natalie was fab and made me feel so special, plus the food was delicious! Thank you!

I reserved a table for 2 and we sat upstairs. Excellent service and we ordered drinks followed by 2 main courses. The Baileys chicken pie and vegetables (I was told) was very good. I had the Southern Fried chicken burger and a Baileys home made beef burger ( beef and chicken stack) on a ciabatta , coleslaw and cheesy chips. Really good and so filling ! 3rd visit to this restaurant and the food has been excellent each time. Certainly my favourite in Buxton. A pre theatre meal so we were early evening .

Booked a table only a day in advance and they very kindly arranged for us to be able to be seated downstairs as we requested. We both had fillet steak which was delicious and cooked perfectly. Best steak we've had for a while. The waitress who greeted us and looked after us most of the evening was wonderful (warm, friendly, good humoured) as were the other waitress and waiter. Live music was great to listen to washed down with some good pornstar martinis and old fashioned. Would definitely recommend booking.

I cannot praise the cafe enough. I organised a baby shower for my friend this weekend, and the team were so incredibly helpful, despite me having to make multiple changes including bringing the date forward with not much notice. The food (lunchtime buffet) was delicious, the service was excellent, and I was blown away by how beautifully they had laid out the table. Several of the guests commented on how lovely it was and that they would look to come back for their own events. Thank you so much!!

Feel unhappy to write this but very dissapointed this weekend. Booked a table only to find on arrival no table had been saved. Can appreciate it was a busy time for them but shouldn't have been excuse to say they had not looked at the web site. Didn't get to eat as what we would have choose had run out. Very unfortunate

Another fantastic breakfast, this time for my birthday and it’s the little things that make your experience memorable - Michelle the Chef came out with a little cake and candle and sang happy birthday! Once again, fantastic staff, service and food. I continue to tell everyone about this little gem of a cafe.

Lovely staff and great food. Consistently excellent food here. Took two friends who were new to Glossop as I wanted to make a good first impression. They loved it too!

We were disappointed this weekend when we visited the Renishaw Hall Cafe. As always, the service was welcoming and friendly whilst the courtyard setting provides an excellent venue . However, when we arrived, and despite booking, we found that Roast Sunday Lunch is now no longer an option. We substituted with an unremarkable meat and potato pie with chips and peas which challenged a good value for money rating. In mitigation I would say that everybody has an off day, don’t they?

We had a fantastic birthday breakfast at Renishaw cafe. The food was really nice and the staff were very helpful. A special thank you must go to Fleur who was very attentive throughout our time there.

Love the Two Hares in the day but have now had a couple of experiences with the evening menu - fantastic. Quality of food is brilliant and reasonable pricing. Best place to eat in Glossop in the evening hands down.

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of eating at The Two Hares this past month and we’ve been so impressed with the quality of food and it’s ingredients ~ just beautiful! The staff are really lovely too, especially the young female host, who literally does everything she can to give you a positive experience.
