Here is a small but infinitely friendly Indian Restaurant. Friendliness and welcome abound here but most importantly "The Food". As a regular and frequent Indian food eater Real India provides some of the most delicately flavourful food ever. Even the very hot and spicy dish has subtle and wonderful flavours. Go there!

Lunch at the Boathouse on a cold wintry day consisted of a chicken pie and chips! Big portions, lovely food, relaxed environment, but good atmosphere as busy but not too busy! Cant wait to try it in the summer in the beer garden looking out to sea!! Good news, dogs are welcome inside as well as out!!!

Lovely atmosphere in the heart of the village. Hosts Nicky and Anthony are very welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic! I particularly loved the deep fried battered brie starter, then tucked into Dave's (the fab head chef) winter seafood chowder with crusty bread. . . yum. The only problem? I couldn't manage one of the delicious desserts, but don't worry, I'll be back!! Oh and my husband adds "terrific local beers, with guest beers too".

This is a smashing proper pub, with food well deserving the gastropub label but not gastropub prices. Just into January with snow everywhere & the place is packed with locals. We enjoyed Berrow Ale & a great Sauvignon Blanc. The most ridiculously huge, really tasty1/2 shoulder of lamb and Lyme bay scallops with celeriac puree that were sublime, also great staff & great service.

If you are ever in the vicinity of Totnes then this is the place to go and eat whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner! All the food is freshly prepared and locally sourced so always of top quality. Apart from the scrumptious food there is a very fine wine list with wines of extremely good value. I would recommend The Waterside Bistro to anyone who values great food at good prices.

Has to be the best Fish Restaurant in the South West which is proven by its popularity. When its busy its worth the wait as you can't book a table. The Fish Specials board is a must, but the main menu is always superb quality.

This is a wonderful place for those who love real food cooked beautifully. The new Chef, Ross, has the magic touch. From the best ham eggs and chips ever to partridge and venison pie to die for. This is the best place to eat at a sensible, every day price,in this area.

Harris Arms – Okehampton

Surely the best Indian restaurant in Plymouth. Have eaten their dozens of times with the same high standard of cuisine. Never ever been disappointed. Modern Bistro style with friendly idiosyncratic service. The take aways are just as good and ready when they say!

Cafe Indiya – Plymouth

Went to this restaurant as a group for a Christmas meal, food was cold, poor serviced and one of my friends had a suprise in his cheese-cake, a steel staple. I guess the 36 people who went will not return.

Myself and 8 friends enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Cary Arms. The food was delicious, very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It was my birthday and Denise the chef made a scrummy chocolate cake! If you like fresh, local and tasty food in a stunning location the Cary Arms is the place to go!

Had a stunningly good lunch here recently. Rarely do I go to a restaurant and find choosing difficult but here there is so many appealing dishes I did have trouble. I opted for Tempura of Monkfish with a delicious dip to start followed by partridge which was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. For dessert I tried a taster plate of mini puddings which was too good. The service was exceptional, the staff engaged and passionate. If only I was local to the area, it is now my favourite restaurant.
