Veggie Perrins

This restaurant is a legend. The food is utterly authentic and unlike anything that you'll find in 'normal' indian restaurants. Every time we've been in here, we've utterly enjoyed it. The restaurant decor is basic compared to other restaurants, but the food makes up for it. The extras you get it this place really make the difference, like mango lassi (delicious!). The indian desserts are amazing too - especially the coconut ice cream, which is to die for! And it's all amazingly cheap!

we visited this restaurant while on holiday last week, it is in beautiful setting over looking the river, and nicely decorated inside. we had the corned beef hash which was delicious. would definitely go again next time we are in Devon

We plan our trips from London down to the West Country to coincide with the Flintlock Inn's opening times! It's only seconds off the A303, excellent and friendly service and the most superb, fresh food. Very good value too considering the quantity and quality of the food. They have two chefs dedicated to making puddings alone. You're in for a treat.

Taking a short break at a local B&B, we thought that we would try the local pub - boy are we glad that we did. We had an excellent home cooked meal, the pub was very busy but it was well worth the wait. This was on a Sunday night, and as we were staying for one more day we made a note of what was on offer for the next evening from a varied menu. Only problem was, the Flintlock is closed on Mondays, never mind - we now have an excuse to return later in the year to sample another of the tasty dishes on offer.

Just eaten here to celebrate twenty years with my wife. Food and service was excellent. Lots of cafes with new Princesshay development but made the right choice.

I have lived in Exeter for the last 10 years and this has to be without a doubt Exeter's finest restaurant. The service rivals some fine dining venues in the area. With great product knowledge and a friendly warm yet balanced approach it's clear the staff revel in working in such a fine establishment. I'm pleased to say it's one of the only Italian restaurants that actually has a true Italian as it's Head Chef which is evident in the food. From talking to the chef, i discovered the food is sourced solely from Italy and is delivered daily. This is a refreshing change from precooked, reheated rubbish commonly found in high street restaurants of the area. The atmosphere is well balanced and the overall impression is that of a funky retro, modern Italian restaurant. You must try it!

The service's really good and the food's nice. Only one drawback, the manager seemed a bit noisy as she was bossing around, talking and scolding her poor waitresses. However, it was a fantastic evening. we enjoyed having dinner there.

we went here for a birthday treat and were treated to a great night! nothing was too much trouble for the staff or management and they played a fanfare, happy birthday song and cliff richards "congratulations" while they brought the cake out. we will be back.

I am not sure that I can add to what has already been said below but I think the combination of food, wine, presentation, ambiance and most of all staff were outstanding. I have eaten all over the world in many top restaurants and this is right up there with the best of them.

Chloe’s Restaurant – Plymouth
Tigger

This pub has just come under new management. There was a warm and friendly feel to the pub with definite areas for the restaurant and bar areas. There is a pool table and dart board in the bar area and gardens with spectacular views to the rear. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area and outside as long as they are on a lead, which suited us well. Thank you for the fantastic experience, we will come again.

Mary Tavy Inn – Tavistock
