this pub is situated only a small stroll from the main beach in torquay. it is attractive from the outside and well lit up in the evening. the staff were very friendly, which is rare these days. the service was quick and efficient. there was a good selection of drinks and the food was superb. the hygiene in the pub was of a very high standard and the atmosphere was very warm and cosy. we spoke briefly to the manageress and she was lovely and very welcoming to myself and my family. i would go out of my way to return to this pub. it truly is a gem! 10/10

Very friendly gay pub, very nice landlord and boyfriend very nice crowd in with excellent entertainment. a must visit if you visit Plymouth very cheap drinks

I had a superb fresh crab, advised all fish freshly sourced from beer, with an excellent Chablis. Picturesque thatched 15th century inn.

Excellent! Loved it. What a great place, unlike anything else in Plymouth. Service was great, food was fab. We left feeling very happy and satisfied, but not so full we had to roll out the door! Which was perfect. Really good evening.

Myself and my family went to the Highweek village inn on the 4/11/06 for the first time and we were very surprised it was a nice quiet place where families and children were made every welcome.

This is one of the few Italian restaurants around which is truly Italian. The food is cooked and served in Northern Italian style by the restaurant's Turinese chef/owner. It is the nearest thing to a genuine Italian restaurant I have experienced in the UK, and not of the formulaic variety in the manner of ASK or Pizza Express which are not Italian in their presentation if they are in food/wine.

What a really nice place this is a warm welcome was received when we walked in the door with excellent service and very friendly hosts. Food was cooked to perfection and served with a smile, will definitely be back. Well recommend a visit

Excellent food and service, my favourite restaurant. Great views, lovely nature trail for before or after meal. Superb home-made fudge to finish off with.

Eat at many Brewers Fayres and have to say this one is a cut above the rest, friendly helpful team and tasty food. Good value food though bar prices slightly dearer than average

This is the best pub I have ever been too! such a delightful atmosphere, the service and management were brilliant. ~I thoroughly recommend this pub/restaurant for all ages.

Hubby took me here for a late birthday treat - he'd been going to book Tanners but I thought it was a bit too formal. This was perfect, you still feel looked after, not chain pub at all, but it is informal & the menu accessible, even to fussy hubby! Everything we ate was incredible, & the reasonably priced wine list was good with the Shiraz we chose being outstanding. The Duck (unfortunately not my meal) was the best, literally the best that either of us have ever tasted & we do like to eat a lot. What's more, we do like to complain if things aren't just so, & apart from being a little warm in the restaurant (bearing in mind it's also very mild outside) there was absolutely nothing I'd change.

As visitors to Plymouth we were lucky to stumble upon the Zeus Restaurant. A small, busy really & friendly restaurant, with a very good food and excellent staff. We dined there twice, and on both occasions enjoyed both the food & unpretentious atmosphere

The waiting staff are very nice, the food is all home made by their chef and it is delicious!! I recommend it.
