Bamboo The – ExeterThis is a wonderful country pub where one can have a very good meal, well served and with a good choice for gourmets.
Grove Inn The – UmberleighEvery meal had at Harry's has been an excellent time, food served in good sized portions. Menu is diverse offering pizza, steaks and burgers with a twist - ever tried an aligator burger? Nice young feel about the place! Booking is advised!
Harrys Restaurant – ExeterMichael Caines at Gidleigh Park is cooking the best food in Britain, to say that our meal was stunning in every way would be an understaement in the extreme, words fail me. If you haven't been yet go, get your credit card out and enjoy it. awesome.
Gidleigh Park – Newton AbbotBest Indian restaurant in Exeter !
Ganges The – ExeterVery tasty! Came to Devon on holiday and very glad we stumbled across this place. Paid it a visit three times in one week. A must for Chicken Dhansak fanatics - mmmmm!
Bay Of Bengal The – HolsworthyThis restaurant should be getting regular mentions in the national press as an outpost of excellent food in the South West. The quality of cooking is absolutely fantastic - everything has been thought about and everything on the plate is imaginatively thought out and very well implemented. We love it.
Artillery Tower – PlymouthA bit pricey, but well worth the price. All food is made/produced in the Westcounty - Steak is one of the best I've ever tasted.
Conservatory The – ExeterGood local pub under new management, and will be starting food in the very near future. Nice place to have a drink, not far from the quay and drink prices are very reasonable.
Bishop Blaize The – ExeterGone down hill, was a nice place to eat when it first opened. Good place if you want a quick snack but not for a nice meal out
Bar Venezia – ExeterIn this ordinary looking pub lurks brothers who are culinary wizards. The well balanced menu complimented by a confident wine list is well priced and something I look forward to revisiting. With a passion for local food, Luke and Robert show their international experience matched with the essential basic instict of masterchefs in the making. Do not be put off by the pubs name or look, the purely pub decor with a real fire, real locals, real ale and essentially real food is something to be tried.
Barrel O’Beer – SeatonThe best kept secret in East Devon. The outside looks like a country pub, the reception area looks like a high street takeaway, but out the back is a place where magic happens. The decor and service are spot on, the food is uniformly excellent, and the price is right. What are you waiting for?
Golden Pond – ExeterIntriguing hotel restaurant in the heart of Exeter, its Mediterranean menu offers something different for a special occasion. Well worth a try.
Olive Tree Restaurant – Exeterwas a wonderful experience
Cafe Rouge – PlymouthTerribly Terribly good. I can only say that it is one of the finest fish restaurants in the country. Please dont go there as we'll never get a table.
