We visited the Crediton Tandoori Restaurant on Sunday 25th of Sept. 2011 for the Sunday buffet. We were welcomed when we arrived and drinks were served quickly with poppadoms etc. The buffet itself was wonderful. Plenty of choice - I only wish I could have eaten more. I'll certainly go back when I'm in the area again.

Best fish/chicken and chips for miles. I go at least once a week from Bovey to eat looking out to sea in the nearby car park. Best avoided Fridays in season as there will be a long queue.

Reserved a table for my son's birthday. My wife arrived with a birthday cake and asked if we could keep it in the kitchen for after our meal. With a dead straight face the manager said 'We do not allow outside food into our kitchen' . This man was so serious my wife thought he was joking but not so and that is where our dining experience started to nosedive. One person in our party had to pull out at the last minute and because of the empty seat nobody came over to serve us or ask if we would like drinks. Nothing. So after 15 minutes we had to walk up to the bar to ask for some menus and it was pointed out that our reservation was for 6 not 5. When the manager came over to take our order my wife apologised for not letting them no about the missing person in the party only for him to reply ' Well it doesn't take much to pick up the phone'. The cheek of it. If it wasn't for the fact it was my son's 12th birthday I would have upped and left. This man has a serious lack of people skills and comes across as rude and arrogant. When my son asked for a slice of lemon in his glass of water he rolled his eyes as if we were making his life difficult. The food on the other hand could not be faulted. Absolutely delicious! Pity really as we will never be going back.

I used to love Scoffs as takeaway chips but last Sunday I sat down in their restaurant and I swear that ill never ever buy from there again, nor will my friends. I and 2 members of my family from Kenya went for takeaway chips then decided as we had half hour to kill to sit down and eat them in the restaurant. The assistants kept staring at the two kenyans as if they had never seen a non white person before, then 4 members of staff (yes 4!!) all came up together and intimidated us by standing over the table and demanding to know what we were doing. We said we wanted to eat the food we had bought there, but they were bullying and demanded we pay extra to sit down, and were incredibly rude to us. Then after we complained about the service, they stood behind the counter gossiping, pointing fingers and making fun of us. Racist, inept, ill mannered, ill trained and redneck. Ill never go there again and will complain to the owners too.

When do you know Exeter is finally a fully fledged cosmopolitan city?... When you get a brilliant Japanese restaurant. Polo is just the best Sushi chef and Roey a fabulous hostess, ( Polo always makes me my favourites, including a very special sweet freshwater eel and beautiful octopus Nigirizushi) There is always a selection of freshly caught seasonal delicacies and you know that the southwest of England produces some of the best freshly caught fish in the world!!! For the non Sushi lovers there's a selection of Tempura, Steaks, Japanese curries and lots more on a varied and delicious menu. You've got to Love it. 10/10

Visited this pub last week while on holiday in the South Hams. Great place to eat, excellent locally caught fish dishes and the steaks looked good too.. Serves a great selection of Otter ale and the Heron Valley cider is worth trying.

Had a perfect meal at Agaric. The tempura was light as a feather, the duck well-done as i had ordered it and the basil and green tea ice-cream was beyond delicious! they also catered well for the vegetarian, wheat-free eaters in our party.

I don't recommend this place at all! We stopped there on our way to Cornwall on Sunday 17th July. Had a burger which was dry and the chips were soggy and greasy. My mate had chicken fajitas which made him ill for the rest of the day with stomach cramps. Horrible greasy food and slow dreadful service. AVOID!

About 4 months ago I moved to Exeter. I am from Berlin in Germany and the only thing I really missed here was Sushi. We went to this Restaurant today the first time and I cannot wait to go again. The food was very fresh and so good. The staff is really nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

I have eaten at the Sidmouth tandoori several times and have never had a bad experience. Their food is delicious, cooked to perfection and the service is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food and also to anyone who doesn't because chances are they will after eating there!

Visited on 09 July 2011. Vast improvement from last time we visited which was a long time ago but beautifully presented with lovely artifacts etc. Food was presented very well, very good service and welcoming. Vegetarian risotto was nearly as good as mine! would definitely go there again
