Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthHad a great lunchtime meal Food was great even though the menu was a reduced one due to the Covid rules. Social distancing was observed with hand sanitising stations. Great atmosphere and good friendly service
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthPlease note that our ratings are only for the evening meal we had and it was very nice. The choices were plenty and the quality of the food was good. The service at our table was friendly and efficient, thanks to Fiona. Reception was a pleasant experience thanks to Kim. The dining room, lounge and other public areas in the hotel are very nice. A mention for Earl, a very pleasant and interesting gentleman who works the late shift and helped to cover our breakfast service! All of the staff were excellent (apologies to the two others whose names I didn't get). Unfortunately, the room let it all down badly. We were in room 42 at the (very) top of the hotel and it was poor (and I'm trying to be as kind as I can here). Absolutely no view, which is bound to be the case for some rooms but it is in no way made up for by the decor and fabric of the room. The bedding (on a very small double-bed) was clean and the towels fresh and sufficient. The in-bath shower pressure is almost zero and the bathroom in general was very 'tired'. The main area of the room was similarly below the standard one would expect for the price.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamWe had a really enjoyable evening meal. Good food with friendly service. Nice atmosphere with good choice on the menu. Well worth a visit
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamVery good food, excellent choice on the menu and desserts are fantastic. Service was dysfunctional at best unfortunately.

Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamFabulous place and food!
Jack In The Green Inn – ExeterNot aimed for joe public, arrived on the hop for the carvery experience..... clean decor , very small eating area, great cutlery and napkins, nice wine glasses . Food however very disappointed promised as many Yorkshire puds you can eat, we had to ask for one ? Meat not very good, cauliflower cheese ? Hmmmm not good Cold food, frozen peas not really a cavery just food served on a hot plate. £10.95 each overpriced for a disappointing meal and a 10% surcharge automatically added ? Will not be returning .
Barton Pines – PaigntonI would recommend this restaurant. I have been three times with no complaint whatsoever. Impressed all round. Barry & Shirl
Bistrot Pierre – PlymouthLovely evening with my daughter on Sunday and perfect meal and friendly service, thank you.
Birds Nest – HonitonA very poor meal. Ordered the salmon but they brought me chicken. Then apologised asked me if I wanted salmon only to be told I could only have a child size portion as they only had that. Had to then wait ages and the vegetables Were poorly cooked. T o be honest they said I did not have to pay.On Very disappointing.
Malthouse – Harvester – ExeterGreat character Pub with a somewhat quirky interior. Good food at a realistic price with excellent service. Set 2 and 3 course meals offering good value. Just off the tourist route but near Haytor Rocks, so good to combine a walk with a meal, Has a nice garden opposite. Parking is somewhat limited but available. Haven't stayed here, but believe the rooms are comfortable. Happy to recommend as well worth a visit.
Rock Inn – Newton AbbotWheres the menu's ?????
Elfordleigh – PlymouthMe and my friend went for lunch today and we only could eat one plate as most of the food was cold and disgusting. I don't think it was value for money and will not be returning there again. They put a 15 % surcharge on now but the food hasn't improved since going I've been feeling very ill so I'm just hoping because I eat cold chicken food that iI is not done to that .
Buffet City – PlymouthWell what can I say!!!!!!!!!!!We booked this for a special occasion, the surroundings were amazing. However the food was appalling. 2 rosettes I don’t think so. Had problems with our lunch order, and dinner was non-existent? Had to send items back, we were not the only people sending food back, at least three other tables in a quiet restaurant. If you want something special for that price, I would look further afield. To top it off the owner/manager doesn’t take criticism well.
Soar Mill Cove Hotel – KingsbridgeSunday Menu: 2 courses, £31; 3 courses, £39.50.
