The food is excellent but expensive: a treat rather than a regular event. Lately though they have added a service charge to the bill which I think is more than a bit cheeky: I'D like to decide if a tip is deserved and how much! It's also worth checking the bill. Friends and I have, on separate occasions, been charged for items we have not had eg. two bottles of wine instead of one.

This is a wonderful place to eat, chat and meet friends. The food is great and not too expensive so families can afford to eat out. The staff were very accommodating when I turned up late for my table recently (well worth a good tip). This is a very popular place so booking is essential especially at weekends

Mohujos is a great little place to eat, with its intimate setting and Mexican atmosphere you can be forgiven for thinking that you are no longer in Billingham. The staff are highly attentive, friendly and make the dinning experience relaxed, unlike other restaurants, where you feel rushed. The food is far better than any which I tasted in Mexico and is a credit to the chef, and would particularly recommend the fajitas. I would also like to applaud the staff and chef for their knowledge of food allergies and being able to provide a meal to suit my needs. Mohujo's is an excellent Mexican restaurant and a place I can't stop going back to, I would highly recommend it.

fabulous homer chips and the steak gravy pie was the best since "upex". The whole menu from starters to desserts could not be faulted.

Me and my wife had a meal at the Shapla recently, and where very impressed with the food and the warm and relaxed atmosphere, further enhanced with the charming service. We look forward to going again soon

One of the best meals I've ever had eating out!! I really recommend that you visit this amazing restaurant. The food is divine, the homemade sangria is very nice indeed and easily drinkable. And the service- perfect; very friendly and passionate! We keep coming back for more. 10/10, Very Well Done to everyone at Mohujos.

It was my first time having Caribbean food, and i thought it was superb, some of the best food i have eaten for a while - and I love food! The restaurant was very empty (England were playing football), which meant the ambience wasn't as good as it probably would be full, but the food alone is worth a visit. Highly recommend this, and will be going back.

This restaurant which serves Thai cuisine has now changed its name to AROMA. All the ingredients are freshly prepared and cooked to order. The Chef Valentino is excellent and he runs the restaurant with his Mam, Anna. They are a very nice, friendly Romanian family. The atmosphere is cosy, decor very nice and everything is spotlessly clean. They are willing to adapt any dish to suit the taste if the diner requests. This place is well worth a visit and once tried you will definitely want to go again. My family and I have been numerous times and will continue going. Paul, Chris and Daniel Young

Excellent food, plenty of it, staff excellent-quick, very helpful and friendly. Bucket of beer great and iced glasses nice touch. Happy hour is great price and food just as good as normal menu. Highly recommend this restaurant to singles and families.

Had a bit of trouble finding this place. went the wrong way at first, but eventually found it, near the station pub. The atmosphere was enchanting, very busy and although we were told we may have to wait, it was so worth it. The food was amazing, traditional Mexican, the stuffed peppers were gorgeous and the Mexican parmesan was delicious. My wife had the tequila fettuccine and said it was possibly the nicest thing she'd ever eaten!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone, even though it was busy, it was Saturday night, the atmosphere was amazing, it felt like we were on holiday in Mexico, and we didn't mind waiting at all!

As a visitor to the area I thought Mohujos was a great little restaurant in Billingham. Nice area.(Cute railway and interesting old signal box at the top of the street) Parking outside the door, a buzzing atmosphere even for a Wednesday evening, yummy food - all very fresh and tasty. Staff very friendly and attentive. Decor Mexican themed and modern. Very impressed with cleanliness and overall standards. Hope to visit again when I am next "Up North"

Fantastic food prepared to however the customer wanted. Atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and approachable! prices are affordable and portions sizes are excellent value for money.

The restaurant is situated on the main road with good parking facilities, the atmosphere inside was great. I actually forgot that I was in Billingham and it did feel like I was abroad. The beer was a bit pricey but isn't it always. The wine selection was good also. The food, well. The food was great. It is only a small menu but it means that the chef can spend a bit more time in preparation. The ingredients were fresh and not frozen. The staff were very accommodating and not over bearing like in some restaurants, always happy to help with a smile. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant to all

Superb atmosphere with food and service to match. What a transformation since the new owners have refurbished the whole business. They must have spent a fortune on the place, but very wisely. Highly recommended.

we went a couple of weeks ago and i thought i would have problems choosing food as i have a peanut allergy,and foolishly the previous week we went to a chain restaurant over the road and it seemed nothing could be changed on our meals. I couldn't have been more wrong; the manager explained how everything was fresh and they could adapt ingredients. I had ribs with chicken and instead of having batter (as she explained they couldn't say was nut free) i had grilled chicken instead. The staff went out of their way to double check all ingredients and it was a fab night. the food was inexpensive, the atmosphere was nice, the staff were always friendly and attentive and i can understand why there seemed to be a regular customers in that the staff were speaking to. We will certainly return.
